Here’s my LD History. Now with more horrible MS Paint skills!
LD History and Framework Declaration
Thursday, August 19th, 2010 10:36 pmHere are my previous Ludum Dare Games

I’m most likely going back to my 3D roots for this compo. I will use C++ with Ogre, CEGUI and OIS. I will be using my framework that was used in LD16 which is here.
Bandwagon jumpage, Linux and themes…
These seem to be all the rage, so here are my two (!!!1!!@!!) previous entries (the first of which didn’t even get finished on time..)

In other news my engine and test game both compiled and ran in Linux (Arch x64) with minimal tweaking, so a late/post-compo port is likely (and should only take a few minutes).
Also, my theme picks are Isolation, Bugs and Darkness (oh and double zombie rainbows of course!), I voted all others down.
My LD History
I like this trend.

Not very many, I know.
The Ghost of LDs Past
Fads are Fun
My list isn’t exactly a big one, but I figured I might as well make one for the heck of it. Everyone else is doing it

So we’re now at final voting, I have to say, pretty much all of them are quite good, good job everyone with your theme suggestions! and good luck!
My previous attempts
Here are my previous attempts at Ludum Dare, most of them never finished:

Who Can Refuse a Meme?

Huh. I've been at this for longer than I realized...
Note to self: enter more compos.
The story so far
Thursday, August 19th, 2010 3:14 pmEveryone should do one of these. Here’s mine:

Been a while since I successfully entered an LD apparently, so I’ll try to do something about that. Haven’t decided what to use for this one yet, but hey, that’s what the first few hours of the compo is for… right?
I wanna make one too!
Really looking forward to Ludum Dare this weekend! Haven’t a clue what I’m going to make yet, or what I’ll end up using to make it. I only really have one goal, this time: I wanna do something somewhat technically challenging, for once. I’m thinking possibly some procedurally generated content, if I can shoehorn it into the theme somehow.
I’ll be taking part at the Cambridge meetup, so it should be good fun even it doesn’t work out
Finally, because everyone else was doing one: Here are my previous LD entries, including some games that I ended up developing after the original deadline:

Was the first one really 8 years ago?
Inspired by other people doing it, here’s a little montage of my 8 games (and 8 years!) of LD48… Shame I missed so many along the way… was just a mix of work/crunch, a few years of a WoW habit, and a couple of themes I didn’t like…

Ghost of Ludum Dares Past
Codexus, Docky, and Sophie Houlden are cool and I want to be just like them.
…I originally typed that to mock myself for copying them, but then I realized it is also actually the truth
An visual history of my Ludum Dare adventures thus far:

Don’t normally do this, but I’m a trendwhore…
Dock challenges LD18!
I’m up for LD18!! I’ll be doing my entry at CB2Bistro with many other Cambridge and UK people.
My goals this time are to make something a little more polished, with title screen, music, sound effects and everything in place. I’m giving myself strict time limits so that I don’t spend too long on graphics, design, or let any one task harm the project. Thankfully my new laptop is much nicer to develop on, so I should be comfortable. Also: No penguins!!!
Here are the tools I’ll be using:
- Engine: Unity, with Monodevelop IDE.
- Libraries: iTween for lerping
- Graphics: Photoshop, 3DSMax
- Audio: SFXR, Garageband, Audacity.
Previous Ludumdare entries:
Thanks to Codexus for the inspiration. XD
Let’s make some awesome games!
