Yeah, I’m in.
I’ll most likely make a browser based 3D game, using my company’s game engine Goo Engine, which will be released publicly before the competition. The other tools I’ll probably use are:
Development environment: Windows 7
Programming: Sublime Edit, CoffeeScript
2D graphics: Gimp, Inkscape, Photoshop
3D modeling: Blender
Just like last time, there’ll be a real-world gathering at Goo Technologies office in Stockholm, so that’s where you’ll find me.

Our little association Baptême du jeu (originally a Facebook group) has teamed up with Kawenga to organise our second Ludum Dare real-world gathering ^^ Here’s a teaser poster (awesome pixel pirate by PixelBlock):
We’re charging 7€ for food (a jammer jams on his stomach), and if you’re not already a member of Kawenga you’ll need to sign up for a year’s membership for another 8€. You can sign-up here. We only have about 50 places, so don’t dilly-dally
The Montpellier real-world gathering was a great success, and hopefully we’ll be able to organise a similar gathering next time around
Here you can see Gaael and FlowerPower engaged in “witty” banter while Pierrec (in Black), Niavlys (blond), Doelia and company are hard at work. On the right you can see our buffet (the participants got a LOT of food) and Christmas tree, and perched up on top of the mainframe in the corner of the room is the web-cam we used to stream the event.
Hello, if anyone will be in the Santa Cruz area (1 hour south of san francisco), 1 week after GDC, March 15 at 7pm, I’ll be giving a talk on game jams to the e-games gathering in downtown santa cruz. I’ll talk about my experiences at more than a dozen LD’s and 4 global game jams, and I’ll talk about organizing game jams with a focus on team building from helping with the santa cruz ggj 2012 and plans for the sc ggj 2013, which I am organizing.
This is my idea, you control a char that have quests to explore the map and find vegatables hidden in different places, under rocks, from trees, in the soil just click on the place to gather, but your bag can only handle 5 itens.
Each npc will give you a quest as you click on, a ballon with the item image will show and you have to bring the itens to the quest giver, you will equiped with bombs and a knife, during the exploration will face some agressive npcs that will try to kill you, you can use the bomb or the knife to attack then, to buy more bombs use the coins received from the vegetables gathering.
vegetables from the soil will be in the soil and fruits from trees.
when you are full of items in the bag you will not able to gather anything else, until you deliver the quest, or click on the item to remove from the bag and destroy it.
any time you will be able to save the current state of the game. now that i finished the idea will allow myself to have sleep
