botanic quest – 11 hours to the end

lunch time …

and we got a new player at home !! his name is Neskau
distracting everybody including me LOL.
After some drawing hours got the graphics that I will use

and made lots of improvements to the framework itself, including the colision handling, and finishing the desktop implementation, that probably broke the android one hehehehe, but for now the target is finish the game and post-compo will make sure jaga can have both implementations working.
botanic quest – main char

ahhh wake up and makeyourself full of potassium
and write the first big todo list :
- fix the keyboard input
- fix the mouse input
- make char movement, with animation
- add map and screen scrolling
- define map in a txt file
- draw tiles
- draw trees
- draw rocks
- draw coin
- draw 10 different vegetables
- draw 3 different quest givers
- draw 3 enemies
- add to the quest giver to code to show the quest
- all the char to gather stuff
- add random code to add vegetables to places in the map
- add coin counter
- add bomb key and bomb damage
- make enemies move and attack
- buy bombs
- add life control and die event
- create bomb machine
- create main menu
botanic quest – first draft idea
This is my idea, you control a char that have quests to explore the map and find vegatables hidden in different places, under rocks, from trees, in the soil just click on the place to gather, but your bag can only handle 5 itens.
Each npc will give you a quest as you click on, a ballon with the item image will show and you have to bring the itens to the quest giver, you will equiped with bombs and a knife, during the exploration will face some agressive npcs that will try to kill you, you can use the bomb or the knife to attack then, to buy more bombs use the coins received from the vegetables gathering.
vegetables from the soil will be in the soil
and fruits from trees.
when you are full of items in the bag you will not able to gather anything else, until you deliver the quest, or click on the item to remove from the bag and destroy it.
any time you will be able to save the current state of the game. now that i finished the idea will allow myself to have sleep
