Musatic - Spelchan - Mini LD Entry

Flash 11+ Player required to play. The player creates a song followed by a "dance" for that song. A dance rhythm game then lets the player play his or her creation. If they like what they created, an editor lets them fine tune their creation (though unlike the initial creation phase, not in real time). The theme of Not a Game is covered by the fact that the focus is not on the rhythm game but on the creation of a song and dance. The real-time theme is covered by the fact that the song/dance is initially done in real time.

It is not as polished as I would like, but before you judge the game too harshly, remember that the creator of the game knows less about music than Mozart does about programming.

Eventhough it sounded horrible, this game is not horrible at all!:D

Interesting, although I didn't really remember my song when I played it so the "make dance stuff" part was kinda pointless.

Also it would've been good to chose notes in a chord or like a pentatonic scale or something for the notes that the user can play so that whatever you play sounds ok without really having to think that much about music

Jezzamon's idea to use a Pentatonic scale is cool. Also I like the editor I just enjoy composing things. ;)

I have no idea what a Pentatonic scale is (I am not kidding when I say I know nothing about music), but it is certainly something I will be looking into when I get around to revisiting this game.

Very nice idea, this concept definitely is worth to explore it deeper. Kinda "make your own sing-a-long" or so.
