String Raider - Manuel Magalhães - Mini LD Entry
A ship is on it's way to Earth when asteroids appear. Guns are too expensive and stuff, so to defeat them you can only use the power of YOUR KEYBOARD. How long can you take?
-One button is too little, eight buttons is "ok", but what if you had about forty seven buttons? Welcome to String Raider.
-Pseudo-ASCII/Glitch aesthetics, just because I dared to do it.
-Compare your scores with other players, or tweet intergalactic gibberish to your followers.
-Hotseat action!One player takes control of the ship with A-Z, which has to survive for 30 secs, while the other controls the asteroids with 0-9. For player 2 I recommend using the numpad numbers, but if you want to dare me and your opponent and use the numbers above the letters, then go ahead!
(To download the game for Windows/Linux/Mac you need to Right Click>Save As. Provided you already have Flash on your PC it should run on it. However (at least for me) Flash has a better performance inside a browser, so I recommend playing that way.)

how do you dodge the asteroids that are going to collide head on?
@RyanNielson Thanks. I might do a pos-compo edition where I solify the game's balance. :)
@Gallefray These asteroids have a letter on them which can be pressed to destroy them, more or less like in Typing of the Dead.
Wow nice job with this one! Once I figured out how to destroy the asteroids, I got myself on the leader board :]

I like the aesthetic, it's a very nice looking game. And the idea to type in the menu is pretty clever and surprisingly intuitive.
From a gameplay perspective, it could be an interesting concept but I'm finding that I die to easily. I think if you increased the amount the ship moved on every key press, it's be great.
Good job though!
