CubicMiner - godan - Mini LD Entry

So far, off-planet mining has been going ok: with the small hitch that although what we have found is incredibly powerful and efficient, it comes in a lethal catalyst.....

Now, we have the technology to dispose of the catalyst, but it is up to you to separate the good from the bad.

Interesting idea! Graphics are fitting aswell. This thing is quite resource-intensive though, my laptop is chugging and crying and smoke comes out one end.

Yeah, so I mistakenly built this thing on the ultra high settings....I've now rebuilt it with more sane settings.

Should run better now!

Super sound. Really made things tense. And the act of rotating, moving the slice plane, and shrinking the material blocks felt very appropriate to the theme, as I, Dr. Expert Off-Planet Material Extractor, methodically scanned the cube and began to make my incisions with surgical accuracy. One wrong move would send lethal red spheres pouring into my screen, but I had aced my training (remember, blue is good/red is bad), and I had nerves of steel. Yeah, I was the bestest goddamn off-planet material extractorer there was, and nothing could ever stop m-BRARRRRGH!

In case you can't tell, I really liked it. :)

Minor issues: the difficulty slider is on the hardest setting by default, and would probably work better if you the player had to confirm it before the game starts (sometimes I didn't change it in time and there was no button to restart). Also, it can be difficult to play when the lights get very intense. Oh, and on one of the easier difficulties I managed to win without shrinking anything - the blue spheres just poured out.
