Gnet - Andrew - Mini LD Entry

The story of a young man or woman named Gnet (which is totally a real name and not a last minute acronym based off graphic novel engine test) which moves to a new town and scouts it out while contemplating all the adaptation that will need doing.

Additionally I junked my original idea and adapted to a shorter timespan with a simpler idea while going out of my comfort zone. I also adapted to my lack of graphic novel drawing prowess by going outside and snapping photos.

Note that I also adapted this notes section to illustrate all the meta-adapting that went into this game.

There may be typos and freezes. The engine got built in a matter of hours and will probably get rebuilt in the next few days post-compo style.

Cool so far. Are you going to have the text speed be adjustable? I'm not a fan of waiting to read :)

Yes of course. There's nothing more annoying than debugging the thing and having to wait for the text so I know what you mean. There'll also be an option to disable the fade.

An interesting game, but the fade and text speed is a little slow.

On my first play through: I asked for directions, didn't try a drink, looked up the steps, and it ended properly. I didn't interrupt the text printer at all.

On subsequent plays, I tried all of the other actions, and always interrupted the text printer, but the game didn't appear to end properly. It always stalled on the front door.

@digital_sorceress
Unfortunately I'm getting that as well. Congrats on finding the 'good' ending first

Very attractive. I could play this game for an hour but it's too short...

I would also add some more player intercation like solving a puzzle or something, it will be cool.
