Like it!
Controls were great. I'd consider putting the UI outside of the play area, as it's a bit in the way where it is.
But the punching and rock throwing is great :)
I played for a while and the Evolute never seemed to kick in, and I wasn't dying,so I called it a day.
Nice effort man!
This is good fun, combining resource collection with a top-down action mechanic was a nice idea. Plays well and there is potential here to develop this into something really interesting by adding a bit more variety and making it a little more challenging.
Good game, but very hard! The shooting and collecting were fun. The music and sound are great. I tried three times and got to the evolution where you turn into a redcoat. Unfortunately I was unable to beat it, because I really want to see how far it goes.
Some things I didn't realize right away:
- You can hold down the fire button
- You can hide in your house at night
Some negatives:
- No pause
- It's tough to check how much you need to evolve because you have to mouseover, which is difficult in battle
- Evolve didn't seem to work by pressing 'E', I had to click it with the mouse.
That was great, I really enjoyed it, and the music was nice.
It would be good if the requirement for the first evolution was a bit lower. That's the most boring phase of the game, where you move slowly and the enemies just walk around randomly instead of attacking you.
It's interesting that evolving as soon as you can doesn't seem to be the best option. On my first play, after evolving three times I quickly got killed by the super-fast red zombies. On my second, I evolved twice to get a better weapon, collected money and resources for a while, then finally clicked the evolute button when I was getting low on health and I was instantly taken to the ending screen.
It took me a while to realize that I could see the resources required for the next evolution by hovering over the "Evolute" button. Other than that its a nicely polished and fun game.
Kept trying to hit E for awhile before realising i needed to click the button to evolve. Would let the E key also trigger an evolve. Other than that, great fun!
couldn't play (no windows) but from the gameplay video it looks pretty solid.
The night was nicely done, was about to close the game when it occurred and gave me an incentive to play further.
I was also confused by the "e" button looking like a "e" key. I think the first level should be lower on gold, because monsters are especially slow to kill on this level. I also managed to game the system by not upgrading my house. I was able to easily get the wood and stone while no dangerous monsters was aiming at me and then starting to upgrade when I was 200/200/200. Maybe monster levelup should come each day instead of each upgrade ( with shorter day ). I played only 2 games but spent time and really enjoyed them, that's a very addictive entry. Oh and the Music is awesome, it would just be perfect with a loop instead of a end+silence+restart.
Very fun. But goes from easy to very difficult once those crazy red zombies start appearing. Days seem a bit too long but that's okay I guess.
The graphics were awesome :D, music worked well, and all in all it was great. Lacked a bit more variety but oh well, you made it in 48 hours so it's perfectly understandable.
Excellent mood, graphics and sound. The gameplay seemed really polished too, although it felt like a little bit of a grind at times. The increasingly aggressive zombies each time you leveled up, and the use of 'nighttime' were great.
Very addictive xD nice work man i like the sound and the ambient... well 2D ambient :D and the idea is cool.
Nice.
A bit too much grinding at times though.
Also I noticed you can't fire arrows if you are standing too close to something or the edge of the screen.
That was awesome, would have like some sort of way to heal :/ The music, graphics and feel of the game were all really cool.

Great game! Can't figure how to heal (if there is a way..)
