Very solid game! The only detail it lacks is more feed back when hitting enemies: more fx please! :)
This is a great game. Took me back to the time of the early 90s quarter munchers. Obviously, it helps to have a big team. Is this the biggest ever on a ludumdare? Anyway, good job. Very fun, although much too short of course. You should continue this one and put it on steam or something.
This was an unexpected fun =O really good good game, very cool voice acting, easy/fast gameplay, cool idea =D
Wow, really nice job. I can't rate since I didn't participate this time, but I would have given this quite a nice score.
The music is awesome; I left it open for a while after finishing the game.
As far as I could see there wasn't a way to tell if my health was getting low. I'm not sure how that ties into the mechanics, though.
Technically, the game us pretty darn impressive too. Is it a raytracing engine? Any chance of a source release?
Music and visual style are awesome but, except disappearing enemies, I don't know what I'm doing in the game :(
@ jacobalbano , Its actually a combination of Away3d and Flashpunk. Away3D is in the background using stage3D and Flashpunk is sitting on top of that. The characters are actually being scaled up and down based on their position on the Y plane so it looks like their actually moving on the Z plane but its just a visual effect. Its much faster than actually programming it in 3D.
@benderbinary , Sorry about the enemies. They're supposed to be seen as evolving into different forms to counter attack your play style. This was kind of hard to convey with limited time though... All you have to do is kill the enemies though :D!
That was great fun!
One issue:
At the end, when it said "Thanks for playing..." I wasn't sure if I had died or beat the game.
@robcozzens That means you beat the game haha! Sorry for the confusion!
Ambitious, looks great, good idea, but ehh, the gameplay could've done with a lot of work.
Overall though it's amazing. The artwork and music were both astounding too. Felt very rushed at the end. Very understandable though of course, given it's LD.
My trackpad is disabled when I press keys on keyboard. Can't play many LD games for this reason :(
The opening is outstanding, but afterwards it falls a bit flat. Am I resisting against a social darwinist in power? I don't know, but it sure felt epic. Sadly, there was no connection between the story and the gameplay.
The gameplay was just a generic shoot'em up, and the player expects so much after this opening. I didn't realize what happens when I die until the second playthrough, too. The possiblity to die would have added a nice challenge.
Love the pixel art animations. Gameplay feels tight but sometimes it's hard to know if you got hit.
Really odd the end seemed rather abrupt but that's pretty understandable considering the time limit.
Wow, awesome graphics and sound! Impressive for just 48 hours
Just Updated the entry with a downloadable PC/Windows Version for those who are having trouble playing it via the web :D!
I didn't get it at first... To me, the whole thing seemed very abrupt, but I played it again after reading the comments to try and pay more attention to the plot. It was better during this second playthrough.
NICE although a shame it's short...
I kinda felt that the enemies were a little too hard to avoid, and the fact there wasn't an obviously health made it a little confusing. The score became a little pointless when you got hit, as well.
Still, graphically and audio-ly, awesome. :D
Amazing! Graphics, sounds and I love the amount of detail, in the back- and foreground (like the digging earth). Also, the voice of that bald character was suprisingly fitting! (not everyone does it this good. Mostly it sounds very strange)
What a romantic experience...Akira what did you do with my mind? :)
Absolutely gorgeous!
Jumping and so on would have been fun extra dynamics.
Wow. Impressive Intro. Also well edited, I didn't want to skip it at all (although the bit with the characters entering the thing was not completely understandable.
The level-design could also use a bit of tighening. Right now you are thrown into between some enemies without knowing what to do. Let the player figure out controls first.
Really fun game to play. The graphics and music were awesome! Fast paced and kept me playing right to the end. Cool! Fantastic job!
rather short but very solid and simply a great experience ... 3D games with 2D sprites are maybe the most underrated visual style ever - loved the explosions, music and fluid gameplay
well done!
Great music, backgrounds and sprite work. One of the highest Mood grades I've given.
Not really a fan of long intros in Jam games though. I wanted to get right to the action. I felt like you could have easily had the intro VO playing over the beginning of the game. Like the player could just start out flying along by them selves for a while, let them get a feel for the controls, then start introducing enemies one by one, then when the VO ends the action really ramps up. Anything to prevent the player from having to sit and do nothing for an extended period of time.
Really nice game, great audio, graphics are nice and the gameplay is fun.

Loved the Tron level. I didn't get any sound.
