Red Underpants : Minislip and the strange helicopter - Bisou_TurboD - 48 Hour Compo Entry
Windows | Gameplay Video | Source
Oooookaaaay
Here's my entry : it's called "Red Underpants : Minislip and the strange helicopter"
Minislip's plane has crashed and he's lost on a desertic island (Ok, it's the most generic pitch I could find). You have to help him to blah blah blah...
Play it!
Bisou
Edit : I'll add soon a post-compo version that correct frustrated bugs.
Meanwhile, don't try to leave the island swiming, it will lead you to... a crash.
Play with arrow keys, it seems that WASD version doesn't work.

The program can't start because MSVCR71.dll is missing...
I really wanted to play too! Crafting!? Awesome! I downloaded the dll, and dotnetfx.exe from MS, and I got nothin'. I'll restart my computer, see if that does it.
umm. ok, so why does this have so few comments? This game is so good! great animations, controls, progression, problem solving, and I haven't even finished it yet. I have to say this is the most fun game I've played so far of either of the competitions! I hope this gets some more attention.
Lame, I have 64 bit windows and that's why it's not working. And now these guys say the game is cool. I'll have to play it on my XP box at home.
Really great graphics and animation. It's impressive what you manage to made in 48 hours ! What missing is really a cheerful, jungle like music to give it a good mood. the controls are really slick, feel very natural to play. My mains grip are the movement speed that is too high after the second evolution, making the character harder to keep on platform. I also encountered a bug where I got stuck on top of the Left most pillar while climbing it. otherwise, good job !
I also can't run it because MSVCR71.dll is missing. On 64 bit Windows 7.
It looks very slick and impressive for 48 hours! Too bad there is no audio. For me the controls could be better, but that is typical tweaking.
This is one of the most fun things I've played so far! I love it, it feels almost complete! In fact, until reading these comments, I didn't even realize there wasn't music, a good thing if you ask me! Despite some wonky physics, this is fantastic. 5 stars!
brilliant! Thank you for making this :)
Aweosome! How was it made? (It just lacks audio and more levels :))
This is the best compo game I played so far. It totally could be a winner, the lack of sounds is of course the only flaw. I can't believe you've made this all by yourself in 48h...it's just WOW!
If you want to make a post compo version or a bigger game, I would suggest you to improve the Inventory window, especially the ability to replace an object equiped or on the craft table by another one in one click only (instead of two). Maybe it's because I've been used to the Minecraft system...but even if it's true...a lot of people have been used to it ^^
Great work. Very much complete, though I really don't see how this fits into theme. I've read the post-mortem, and using the 'evolution' word in backstory doesn't convince me (I almost wanna bet you aimed for 'survive'). :P
However, it's fun, polished, interesting and very well-made entry. I played until the end - that must mean something, even without audio of any kind. Level design is flawless and to make a craft system in 48 hours is no small feat. Awesome job!
Very nice game. The constant smiling on the character manages somehow to not be creepy, but rather infectiously silly. Great look, and fun to play!
