Wow. Just wow. Gameplay wise, graphics wise, audio wise, mood wise and theme wise, this fits all the categories.
Highly addicting, stunning looking, well balanced so far, good music and sfx. Dear god man, this is awesome. Second Ludum Dare game ever that I gave a 5 for in overall, although this is the jam.
WOW. My mind has been blown. This game was very fun, the music was extremely good, the graphics were astonishing, and the concept was very original. I also really liked the narrating. The game was hard as hell though.
One thing though, the game wasen't kind to me trying to alt-tab out of it, even though it's a windowed game..
Very good game. The writing/dialog gave it a lot of meaning and context, which was fun. Some technical things, the game ate my mouse (I had to use the keyboard to EndProcess the game because there didn't seem to be any other way to regain control). And I wasn't sure when I was being hurt. Other than that A+
Awesome game! But by far too difficult for me. I tried several times but couldn't more than once.
Very nice. The cubes which attack me simply won't let me waiting and that's great! :) Maybe there could be some texture for those white cubes, or just different colors, but it's not neccessary.
Absolutely amazing. The game feels epic and plays accordingly, great graphics and music, good dialog, you really want to win and you feel exhausted at the end. It feels the best out of any LD game I've ever played, simply because of the feel of it.
Really cool and addictive game, man! Bit I can't see connection with evolution theme. Good job, anyway=)
Impressive. Nice and simple gameplay. Too bad I wasn't able to read alot of the text because I was busy staying alive. Staying evolved is really hard. Well done!
Quite a complete game, was fun to play while it lasted. Perhaps pacing-wise you could've inserted some less intense moments into the level flow. The theme felt kinda tacked on. I also feel like the music could've looped. :P Overall your game was really great though. The graphical style worked and the physics style mechanics were a nice new thing.
Holy crap, this sucks me right in. The difficulty level is over my head (as usual) but what I did see and replay, I'd like to compliment you for making such tight controls.
Eventually what happens is I get cornered or overwhelmed by enemies and wishing I had a bombing or explosion option. If one is gained by evolving, I haven't found it just yet.
Great game, really quite enjoyable. Good difficulty level too... I eat games like this up, but had to stay on my toes, especially on the way back.
Very fun. I got it running in a windows VM (on a laptop with a touchpad), so it wasn't quite the experience you probably had in mind, but it was still a lot of fun.
This was really fun! I loved the graphics and the slightly dark tone is perfectly done. I really wish I could see the end of it, but the escape is way too hard for me.
Fantastic game, awesome evolution of a shmup. I felt like I wanted more cannons towards the end, but really well developed with the cogs and other physics elements
I've played until my fps slowed down :) Very addictive game! Also great soundtrack! Keep working on this game!
That was pretty epic, great soundtrack and tension. I nearly didn't make it out, and so it was quite a memorable experience
Awesome game! I'd totally play a fleshed out physics shmup like this. I got destroyed by the deadly boss of my-computer-doesn't-have-enough-processing-power.
Fun! It eventually became a slideshow for me and I had to quit, but the controls had a great feel to them. Best strategy seemed to be whipping the cursor around in a circle to attack all angles at once.
Sort of like Asteroids, but with a much nicer control scheme - really fun to play!
I really liked this. The massive amounts of passive enemies seemed pretty novel. I also somehow managed to make it through the game on my first try. The theme "evolution" wasn't that strong in this, but it was a cool game nevertheless.
very cool, i love the way cubes tumble at you instead of flying in rigid formation like most shootaz
This is a fantastic game. I did die once but made it through on my second try. Love the music and the gameplay
Really original and interesting experience (until the moment the game froze up my computer)
I don't think I have ever seen that many cubes before ;) Nice music. The game is a bit too minimalistic for my taste.
Pretty great. Unfortunately it started lagging like crap not too far in, so I couldn't see too much, but what you had was pretty solid.
They say that, for an LD game, the most important part is the first impression, and you sir have blown me away with your game's beginning. That dramatic zoom out, the music beginning, those fateful words: "I open my eyes and see the path before me." Epic, and seriously makes me rethink my strategy on leaving stuff like intros for last.
This is really stylish and well-paced! The escape sequence was especially tense. There were some places where the framerate dropped to less than 1 frame per second and it almost made me gave up, but eventually I figured out that if I play aggressively I can keep the cube count low enough for it to run at a playable speed. Definitely a standout among the entries I've played.
Cuuuuubes! This was a really solid and fun shooter, well implemented and a nice minimalist style. Great work
