Got it working, probably should have waited for that before I posted. Looks good. Gameplay seems OK. Controls are lackluster though so I couldn't get much out of it.
Could you elaborate on what you mean by "lackluster controls"? I didn't have any problems, so I'm wondering. Is there a lag? They don't work every time? You just don't like them?
I love the graphics. Could use some minimal sound to make it even better.
Excellent art style. A bit unbalanced when you are advancing. If you moved to aggressive, too many will appear and you can't stop them because you stand still when you fire. Being able to move and fire at the same time would have helped a lot.
If you could move while firing, there would be no reason to take your hand from the trigger ever...
Some low FPS on my machine for some reason, also a lack of sound.
The art is really good though, I can see you have a pretty good and unique style.
Overheat-bar, recharge, etc. There is always a way to make the player keep off the trigger
Really nice artwork. Some similarly quirky music & SFX would have been good. Obviously a very simple game at the moment, but it's a great start.
I really liked the art style. No sound. It wasn't difficult, but it was pretty humorous. You could keep going with this and turn it into something fun on mobile OS or a facebook game.
Surprisingly difficult little game, but with a very fun set of artwork. The part where you must stand still while firing is problematic, but mostly because of the inertia effect that causes your little guy to get off to a very slow, ponderous start whenever he starts to walk.
I think if you dialed down that inertia somewhat it would be less crazy difficult.
Art looks sweet, but gameplay was a bit lacking. Controls felt a bit rough, but it was still quite enjoyable.
Could've benefited a lot from some music and sound effects. Definitely a 5* for the graphics.
Charming style. I didn't really get why I died at first, since the food hadn't touched me, so I thought perhaps I should avoid the normal food as well. Only then I realised I wasn't allowed to let any of it go through. Once I realised that, the game finally made sense. (apart from the fact that I still had to zap living food.)
Great graphics and pretty playable, although very fast it becomes really hard, mostly because the hero moves kinda slow. But while it's difficult, the art itself (and the way you use it) makes it a great experience. Your post-mortem is really great, too! Awesome entry!

Awesome art mate. Wouldn't run on my computer for some reason, but it looks great.
