Impressively complete. I like the room where jumping on one enemy spawns many more, that would be an interesting thing to explore further.
Solid platformer in 48 hours. I died on the boss :X I wasn't expecting a boss fight so that was really cool. The jump is a little slow up/down but the air control is pretty nice.
Classic style and cool level design but the controls are very irresponsive. Character suddenly stops or wont jump. Enemy's reach seems really beyond their sprite and having to reload the game on a game over is painfull.
A zombie fell from way above the screen when I finished the boss :)
I like the exploration aspect of not knowing what part has been unlocked by a key.
The way one room dropped me right on an enemy, which was a pretty slick way to teach that you can jump on them! There's a game feel problem in that too-slow jumping and spacebar sometimes not jumping, though.
Cool little game. I really liked the boss fight, and I thought that the keys opening previous rooms was a clever idea.
The controls were a little wonky though - from time to time, it wouldn't recognize a jump or a move, because it was processing another button. Also, the jump could be less
"featherly".
Thanks for the game!
Nice! Even if a little too short, it feels complete in its scope. The floatiness of the jump and the fact that the commands sometime don't respond is definitely something to improve, but doesn't ruin the experience, it's still fun!
The delay between landing and being able to jump again is kind of irritating, and it would be nice if I could do a shorter hop by holding down the spacebar for less time.
Cool sprites, good colour choice, a complete experience. Would be nice to try with higher gravity, and perhaps some special effects and music?
Like some others have said it would be better with higher gravity/faster jump and also it needs to be more responsive to keys being pressed. Otherwise a nice game - I liked the idea of a monster which spawns more monsters each time it takes damage!
Nice work. I had to reload the page and redownload the app every time I died, though :| (did I miss a restart button?)
Collison was a bit too touchy and jump a bit too floaty, but quite fun - and much easier when I realised I could jump on the enemies' heads!
Nice platformer but the controls are a bit unresponsive sometimes. I also couldn't really see how this fit with the theme.
Solid work. Movement could use a little bit mroe tweaking, though.
Nice one. As others have already mentioned the gravity feels way too floaty. I also think that it takes too long before you can initialize a new jump after landing. It feels kind of strange.
I like the level design and the look of the game, but I'm not a fan of the idea that the doors that open when you pick up certain keys are "somewhere else" so you have to backtrack the entire level to find them.
At first I didn't realize that you could jump on enemies to kill them, and even when I figured that out it took another few playthroughs before I realized that you can "jump out of death". I'm not sure if this is intentional or if it is a bug, but after having died, if you jump fast/often enough, you get revived and can keep playing.
Great work overall!
physics are a bit slow, controls felt unnatural. The graphics were nice. Also dying was a bit buggy, if I saw correctly I was able to respawn by jumping.
Nice, solid platformer for 48h. Collision detection with enemies is a bit shaky and it feels like gravity is too low.
Good game... It does get a bit annoying with the slow jump speed and the fact that the controls sometimes don't work (ie. Jumping) meant that I couldn't defeat the boss - also, he seemed to kill me when he was really far away - hitbox problems? Still, it was fun to play.
As others have mentioned, the controls don't feel quite fluid enough, and the gravity is a bit low. Otherwise fun.
Very floaty. Mean with the deaths. But I enjoyed myself :-)
Personally Ludum Dare is all about originality and this was anything but original.
On my first playthrough I died against the boss and wanted to play again, but I found that I could not restart without a page refresh. This causes LWJGL to search for updates every time I want to replay. This unfortunately killed my enthusiasm to give it a replay. Just this one feature would make a world of difference, I think.
The enemies look soulless and creepy. That's a good thing.
The jumps feel like you're on the moon. That's not as great, but the controls are otherwise quite responsive and that's a very good thing.
I had issues with the controls not actually responding at times, and I don't really see any relevance to the theme. Sorry, just seems like 'another platformer'.
Slow jumping, otherwise it's cool. :) Hard too, since I could die only once!
Enjoyed the boss fight - wasn't expecting him to start talking to me!
I agree with Matt. Good game, but the jumping through me off a bit with it's space-style physics.
I like it. For some reason my space-bar doesn't seem to work too good with this - probably just my space-bar though. It's a cool game.
Nice platformer for 48 hours. As some of the other comments have mentioned, the jump is way too floaty, though.
Physics are a bit odd and the control is unresponsive, and it was annoying to wait for LWJGL to boot up. Otherwise this game is pretty fun. Great level design! Music would be nice but I know that's hard for a compo. Overall a solid platformer.

Pretty solid. Jumping is too slow and feels "floaty."
