Glue Galaxy Rescue! - kirbytails7 - 48 Hour Compo Entry
Take control of Chadley the Astronaut, and glue together planets to divert a meteor from its collision course with a tiny inhabited galaxy! After all, why play a game with one tiny world when you could play a game with two galaxies-worth of tiny worlds? G to grab/release planets and F to use the jetpack. The jetpack gives fast movement speed but runs out quickly when carrying many planets.
I got in about 25 hours on this one, but there are still a few bugs to fix. I had to cut it short for some work on homework, unfortunately, but I'm still happy with the outcome. However, if something inexplicable happens...try releasing and grabbing the planets again, and try not to let planets collide when you aren't holding any of them. There shouldn't be any problems most of the time...
Other tips: The range of Chadley's grab is somewhat finicky, so you may have to line up his hands with a planet in order to grab it. Also, releasing a planet/planet group gives it a bit of angular momentum.

Good one. Very good music, not bad game idea, played several times :)
I like it, but I was disappointed that I couldn't see the meteor in the end when I failed. I spent a lot of time searching through empty space. I was not sure how the fuel mechanic worked. Great song.
Excellent work here. The graphics and gameplay were a strong point here and did not disappoint. Add a two player mode (split screen perhaps) and I'd buy the game.
Well, the music was nice (if a bit too loud)! Not too sure about gameplay tough - felt very repetitive for me.
Somehow the music/sound didn't work under Firefox, I couldn't figure out exactly why. In Chrome it works quite nice though ;). Fun game.
That's odd about the audio not working in Firefox...I guess I hadn't thought to test it.
Very good music. Not sure if I understood the rest of the game.
I wasn't expecting much the first time I played it, but then found myself playing over and over again to try and complete it :-) Good job.
Graphically a bit rough, but gameplay is compelling. Though sometimes my "glueball" would end up spread all over the place without the planets touching.
Maybe some 'real' physics on the main character would improve it.
Music was the best! Amazing music. Fun game too. A little short. Would have been fun with some more baddies. A few more animations would have improved this entry a lot too.
Nice idea. It is not very clear from the game itself what to do though.
Nice music and sound.
Good job with the music! Not sure I want to know what a 'sticky' glue planet is made of, but still had fun. Definitely would have liked seeing the asteroid in game at the end like mentioned earlier. Great entry!
Don't really have anything to add other than what was already said, but I wanted to let you know I played this.
Fun game, with a neat mechanic, and awesome musical score. I really liked this one.
"Why, it's so physically plausible!"
xD
Nice job. Fun & simple. A bit easy once you get the hang of it, but that's something that a little tweaking and some additional planet types (bomb planets? etc) could help.
Oh and I agree, the opening music is epic -- like straight out of an action-hero movie. Nice work!
fun...didnt know what i was doing... but fun. music sounded like pokemon
Katamari meets space! Great idea complemented by some epic music that got me glueing! Just needs some work on the animation and perhaps some scenario obstacles to make it more challenging! Awesome Entry!
I guess I had considered adding some enemies if I had had the time, but I also like the idea of obstacles. I'm going to try to take some time in the next few days to clean up the bugs and do some polishing, so maybe I'll add some things and put up a second version of the game.
And I suppose, technically, Katamari is already about space...
Planets were a little buggy (and I had no audio! I'm in firefox). Otherwise nice game.

Great job with the music! The first time through I found it really hard to find where I'd left the planet I was working on. The second time I just left it at the sun and it was much easier. :)
