Oomple - lurkingshadow - Jam Entry
thanks for playing. this is the first game i have every made.
In this game you play is the strange character "oomple" on a quest to unlock the secret of his past by acquiring pages of his diary. Unfortunately the only way "Oomple" can get is buy buying them of an old man and the only way he can get credits is to capture survivors on tiny planets and ether sell then to slave traders(for a veering price and negative karma) or release them (for a set price and positive karma). can oomple unlock the secrets to his past? and witch way will his moral compass point at the end of it all? its all up to you.
*edit* fixed link - now hosting on mega swf

Pages don't seem to vanish when you press the button. There's also probably a better way to indicate the pickup area than a red rectangle.
Keep working at it :)
Interesting concept! I'd definitely recommend putting a counter on the diary page so you can see how much money you have (and also denote which diary entries have been purchased?). Other than that, great effort on a first game! Look forward to what you make in the future; thanks!
Weird and interesting. This one is going to stick with me for a while.
Wow thanks everyone, have been meaning to add/fix somethings but have been very busy with school and work (will try start working on it Tuesday), also sorry about the spelling dyslexia+lack of sleep = really bad spelling.
Pretty innovative idea and the game runs flawlessly. It does get a bit repetitive after a few worlds tho. It would be nice to have something more to control then just the capture button. Congratulations on making your first game!
Good ideas - as slave trading and story revelation -, but the gameplay was not exciting enough to keep me playing.
Congratulations to your first game.

Interesting idea. Instead of having a button to press maybe replace it with a keyboard button or just to click anywhere.
