The Tower of the Four Winds - andyrofl - 48 Hour Compo Entry
This was my first time competing, it was quite a fun experience even though my game isn't as far along as I wanted it to be. There are bugs, I didnt get to make the level that it was named after, but I'm still proud of it.
My theme interpretation was that a tiny world is a small world, and it's a small world after all. So the four levels are themed after Disney attractions, and the fifth level would've been the Tower of the Four Winds (tower in front of the small world ride.)
Also my computer does not have an older version of Java, nor will Firefox allow me to download it, so for now atleast the game is a standalone application.
Controls: w,a,s,d to move. Space to attack.

I WON! Not too bad for your first! One thing is that for some reason on the second page of each level, you could hold jump and float.
if you hold the jump button for a few seconds it glitches out and you can fly :P
It looked pretty good. I second the library idea.
I would just like to mention that I couldnt seem to attack (though one enemy did disapear). I hope you end up finishing it at some point :)
It was fun, keep making more. Next time try to spend as much as possible on the controls/gravity. Someone mentioned existing libraries that you could use/tweak, etc.
I WIN! :D Would love to see some sort of visual cue that my attacks were damaging the enemies. Great start! Thanks!
Not bad, but two problems, the flying and if you replay the game you can win the first level anymore.
nice graphics, but the levels weren't very different from each other.
Final thoughts as judging is coming to an end: considering that this was my first game ever, I'm pretty proud of the final product and I will definitely do the next LD. My friend said he could help with art so I guess I'll be doing the jam.
Someone's a fan of Bastion. ;) Excellent work! Best story and sound I've seen so far.
Sorry my comment wound up here some how, real comment coming soon.

Nice work. Look forward to seeing what do next comp. You might want to consider using a library of some sort so you can focus more on actual gameplay and design.
