So far the highest I've managed is 319. The thrust seemed a little too powerful at times (you don't drift too much), but otherwise I really enjoyed this.
Just 267, myself. I'm wondering if the shield upgrades should regenerate quicker (just increases the bar?), although that might make things too easy.
Cool idea, but it did feel a bit clunk at times. It'd help if the ship rotated more smoothly. Besides that, I really wish that the powerups would say what they did in game so I didn't have to memorize them all up front, but that's the kinda thing that'd easily be fixed with more than 48 hours ;).
Very cool - controls worked well; the powerups were fun (once I read the instructions) and the game was challenging. It might have gotten hard a bit too slowly; I was able to play for a really long time. Fun, though!
All I really wanted and needed were the yellow suns, then the planet could pretty much defend itself. A little more variety in the aliens would have been nice, but otherwise it's a fun game.
Neat little arcade game! I like the upgrades system. Only got to 45 though.
This would be a really great game if the controls were a bit easier to manage.
This was pretty fun. The ship's turning sensitivity made it a little hard to aim, and different kinds of aliens (maybe sensitive to different kinds of powerups?) would have added some good variety, but this is a great job for 48 hours of work.
That was fun. I found it got hard really quickly - could just be my incompetence.

Found yours! And I finally got an exe and jar up for mine, if you want to give it a try, unless you've already tried building it from source.
Just to be fair, I'm going to try a number of other entries before rating yours. The final submission is definitely looking better and is more fun than what you had previously. The difficulty does ramp up nicely, too.
