    These are your Friends - Farfin - 48 Hour Compo Entry

    No man is an island; but get a load of this lady.

    The picking up the boat thing is a glitch its a remnant of when i was going a different direction with the game and forgot to comment it out.

    Very nice primary mechanic, although the gameplay is too shallow.
    Good use of the theme, and the IK of the lady's arm are really cool.

    Nice mechanics, but nothing that would engage me to play it longer... unless I've missed something? All I can do is pick red guys and throw them down...

    Very good tech demo. The picking is a bit hard, because the items are so small. A bit of a larger image would have been cool.
    Also, when you move the ship to the right side of the island, there's nothing to fear anymore.
    Helicopters would have been cool. It has great potential. Excellent graphics.

    The girl animated really well and the graphics style is just lovely.

    I grabbed the boat right off the start and nothing seemed to happen after. A bug maybe?

    Nice idea with the inverse kinematics - the game idea is good, but I feel the implementation lacked a bit - it was kind of difficult! Also, +1 for 3D sound! I got a shock when the sound from the tug boat appeared behind me! 4/5!

    Nice animation of the lady (love the subtle wrist movement when she pinches). Really hard to survive if you don't just pick the boat up in the beginning which seems to stop the red guys from disembarking.

    Picking up enemies is very hard. Either the enemies need to be larger, or there needs to be a better indicator on the hand.

    Also, I found major slowdowns with the arm after playing past the first death (running a pretty beefy OS X laptop).

    This game definitely has lots of potential in terms of being fun. With some more structure I could see this becoming an interesting spin on the tower defense genre.

    Great use of the theme, and I love the style of the game, just silly and fun. The gameplay bored me a bit after a few games, but I mean...I played a few rounds of it in a row, so that counts for something.

    funny little game...liked playing it though i was bad at catching the goons. the catching difficulty can be toggled a bit

    Very very hard, I only survived 27 seconds. I really love the idea and graphics, the gameplay just needs a little tweaking to make it easier. Maybe have only one devil get off the first boat and then keep increasing the number and speed of the devils with each subsequent boat?

    Took me a while to understand I wasnt supposed to get rid of the ennemies but catch my guys. Its really hard, but survived 90 seconds.

    Superbe design for the lady and the sounds fit the game nicely.

    Or I suck too much or the controls are really really hard? I didn't manage to do anything other than try to grab stuff with the finger without picking anything. The concept is great, but unfortunately I couldn't control even trying 10+ rounds :(

    Pretty interesting idea. At first I thought it was too hard cos I was trying to keep the red dudes away from my friends, then I read the comments and instead caught them as they fell as was suggested, and then it became too easy =[ Awesome art on the island lady!

    Amazing game. I found a "bug", though; If you pick up the ship before the red dudes disembark and place it to the right of the island, then you have no threat to your guys and you can leave the game accumulating score without worrying. The "bird" won't descend unless you lift your guys up. Anyway, loved the concept, graphics and sounds. It's a good and original entry. Congratulations.

    Really cool! Great art and very innovative gameplay. However, the finger doesn't line up with the mouse cursor exactly like you would expect, which makes the game a little harder and a little more annoying.

    I managed to get 69 seconds but right before that, one of my "friends" seemed to just jump in the air to suicide-heights :(. It may have been that it picked up on the tracking of the red guy I was in the process of throwing; my friend was directly above the red guy on the screen. Unless the friend was meant to jump that high, it was a bug because he and the red guy weren't close together and I still threw the red guy in a different direction.

    I had a few tries but couldn't really figure out how to play. Either I'd get game over within 12 seconds, or I'd pick the boat up and nothing would ever attack...
    It looks very nice though, and I like the idea :)

    I'll have to agree with the controls (especially with picking up) and the throwing motion could use some physics for the objects that are released. But the girl-island idea was unique and cute. :)
