My Little Planet - NateNaterson - 48 Hour Compo Entry
"Day 13:
13 days ago, being hunted by a bizzare faction of
creatures I have never seen before, I crashed, and I have
been battling them and asteroids ever since. Trapped on
this godforsaken rock, I am low on supplies, but more have
been falling from the ruins of my ship as the the gravity
of the planet I am on is pulling them ever closer to me.
I may be hallucinating, but some days I think I can see the
lights of rescue ships coming from Sector Alpha-3,
looking for me. I have no way of signaling them, and can
only hope they find me before it is too late..."

My Little Planet is a fast paced arcade style defense game with a somber atmosphere. Oh, and the music has a beautiful face! Upgrade your defenses and gain new weapons to fight off aliens and asteroids!
Controls:
Z: Shoot/Confirm
X: Instructions
Left/Right: Turn Player
P: Pause
F4: Toggle Fullscreen
Esc (or X on Game Over screen): Quit Game
Be sure to extract the ZIP file completely, otherwise the music may not play properly! Oh, and this is a Windows-only game. Sorry!

I like the graphics! The music is also very good and the game if really satisfying to play.
A fun little game! Nice graphics and music, with a fun arcade-y feel. Recommended
Top notch game! I really enjoyed playing, the first alien I saw made me go "OMG ALIENS", was pretty awesome overall I think you did an amazing job, well done.
Awesomely addictive little game, awesome sounds with a little bit repetitive music, 11090 was my final score after 8 minutes.
The powerups were pretty well balanced and the fact that you didn't need to catch them was nice.
The number of asteroids and enemies made it feel slightly overwhelming at times, but then those shockwaves kept dropping in.
Pretty awesome and fun. Very satisfying powerups!
It's a bit too long for my tastes though. I felt like I had seen most of what the game had to offer after 25% of those dots at the top of the screen were filled.
Amazing graphics and sound! The gameplay is fun too, good job. I just wished the character moved just a bit faster.
I've seen this game concept over and over again trough this Ludum... But this is the best one without doubts. Good difficulty curve, nice powerups, great music, cute graphics. Good job! I had a good time playing it :)
Thanks for the great feedback everyone! I plan on releasing a small post-compo update with new content and refined controls very soon!
Nice game! The guitar really adds to the mood of the game and the graphics are awesome. Good work! =)
Very fun! It just needs to progress much faster. My first try, I got about half way through (I think, ~chaos 8), and a score of 15437 (I think) in ten minutes and 31 seconds.
After 10 minutes, though, I don't want to replay it. I know I'd have to play for another 20 minutes to get to the end, and I'd probably lose the first time I see the boss (if there is one). Knowing in advance that I'd probably have to invest at least another 40 minutes or so to see the ending makes me not want to do it.
Can't play Windows-only games this LD, which is too bad because this looks great! I'll try to have something worked out for next time!
Great game! It's fun and very responsive, and the spinning background is gorgeous.
That said, I missed some more variety on the action, and the music became a little bit grating after 15 minutes straight listening to it.
Having a very similar concept on my own entry, it's nice to see how it could've turned out should I'd went with the keyboard-based control, as I did originally, instead of using the mouse. The other difference being that your game is actually playable and fun, and it looks like that really makes a difference! Go figure!! XD
Congratulations!!

Great looking game! The controls were a bit awkward (the character "slides" too much, which can lead to frustration), but it looks so good I just want to keep playing. Good job!
