Ludum Dare 23

To What a Mountain? - ilo - 48 Hour Compo Entry
My first Ludum Dare entry. Made in Unity and Gimp. Quick to complete. I tried to compensate for the poor gameplay with humour.
SPACE to jump. CTRL to punch.
Edit: downloadable version 'should' work now.
And 'WARNING: there is some rudeness, yes. I apologise if it's not your cup of tea.' :)

With the downloadable one, I got an error.
"There should be 'TWaM_Data'
folder next to the executable"
You need to include all the files methinks.
I really laughed at start and I think this game is really cool! Good job!
It was really fun! I disliked the... shocking final scenes though ;) Very funny, and a nice difficulty curve (I finished with no health left). Some music would have really made it ;)
COME HERE LITTLE VILLAGERS... BWA HA HA.
I enjoyed the humour ^_^ Otherwise a straight forward platformer. The jump sound was a bit repetitive.
Fun little game. If I had to critique one thing, the positional panning of the sound is too extreme. Since the player character is on the left side of the screen most of the game, 90% of the sounds come from one speaker. This was great though. Loved the ending!
Fun game, On the web player with ear phones I didn't hear any sound though.
The humor was good. I especially liked them commenting on his hands and then the reveal at the end.
There were a few glitches where you could be standing on the edge of a building and not crush it.
the controls were really unresponsive to me but i guess that's the wooden pc i have. still, i got quite far. the humour wasn't really my thing, but it was okay!
Pretty fun, with good art. I felt like there didn't need to be two scenes where people are gettin it on right in a row. But it was funny and lots of fun.
Ah ah ! Love love love the end :) Was a brief nice funny moment ! Thanks a lot (and nice graphics !)
A similar idea to our game. :) Great fun, although the ending was a bit... surprising.
Heh, glad to see that I'm not the only one who put some "mature" stuff in the LD :)
Yeah, gameplay mostly sucks, but it really is funny. Extra points for the postmortem in verses :)
Funny, Looks semi-nice but incosistent. I loved the animation of the people running away, but that may have been the weakest punch a giant have ever done. :D
Very funny. stomping on the villagers was really fun. I liked the simple art style.
tried running under WINE on linux but it locks up at start, so can't test.
It was a lot of fun and hilarious. But it got a bit repetitive, even though the dialogue was awesome. There could be more to do.
Congratulations on completing LD. Too bad there was no sound. For some reason I didn't really like this stomp-and-destroy game as much as I liked the other ones - probably because of the blood and swearing. Odd, because this is exactly my cup of tea.
Hahaha, nicely done. This is a great start, and it included a surprising amount of variety (different enemies, different kinds of levels), especially for an LD game. Great job.
@ FrederickK - size is relative. If you are big, then the world must seem tiny from your perspective, right?
Anyway, I ought to have commented sooner, but thanks to everyone who commented and played my game - I had a real blast making it and I'm glad to see that, for the most part, the humour hasn't gone unnoticed or been lost on too many people (as I feared). :D
You redefined antihero with this game lol
I had a lot of fun despite of the rather repetitive gameplay, due to the dialogue and story.
Haha, this was like a not-so-arcadeish and more rude version of my game. Really enjoyed it, great job!
THE most humorous game so far. The graphics helped and are really good AND funny (the tiny people waving their little arms). Stops at the right moment, when gameplay maaaybe starts getting repetitive, but I actually wanted to see more dialogs :) Pleaaaase make a big massive version of this.
Cute and funny, but the opening scene is too long and he moves too slowly. Also, for the future, don't use CTRL or SHIFT as primary keys, StickKeys are a pain in games.
Hah! Well this sure was.. different. Well done, hilarious little game even though the gameplay wasn't so great. Good thing you lose nothing when dying because some of the projectiles were next to impossible to dodge.
By far the most LOL-inducing ludum dare game. Very well done. Bahahaha his haaands!!!
The graphics were really bad, but some animations like waving arms and the humorous part made me think this game is good. :P
How delightfully goofy!
I don't know what to say that hasn't been said by others at this point. I think their feedback is pretty accurate.
That was hilarious! My favourite part of it was how every character was unique. Every phrase was very funny to read, and the ending was unexpectedly funny - the poem was awesome too!
Overall, great game, I sure did laugh :)
Hahaha, perfect ending. You've got a great sense of humor. This was extremely fun to play!
Better than it seemed at first glance, actually.
The ending was the best part xP Well, that and the squiggly arms everyone had.
Cute fun game of rampaging through the city. Fun references throughout
It's a city full of wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube men!
Hahaha that was totally hilarious! Best ending to an game I've rated by a mile, congratulations! I like the art and how you tied the "lack of hands" into the story etc, really amusing. And a whole poem, all in 48hrs! Excellent work, 5 stars
The dialogue is nicely done and adds a lot of humor to the game.
Pretty dang funny. Good job on the single screenshot on this page... really sets you up for the reveal. Nice job!
Wow, that took some surprising turns. :) The game itself is pretty repetitive, but I did laugh a few times, and I found my main character's graphics really funny too. Big ups for the verse-based credits. That was my favorite.

Hey, it was cute and somewhat fun! :)
