Ludum Dare 23
April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
Down - Tomynok - 48 Hour Compo Entry
You are a informatic program, you must destroy viruses which want to destroy the central CPU!
Be careful: the game is developed in html5, ans I can't guarantee it will work good on another browser than Google Chrome. So... use Google Chrome ;)
Source code can be seen in the browser.
Have fun!

Really liked this, especially the choice of whether to rush for that extra life or stay to defend the CPU. I scored 284. :)
Rank: or, Enemies?: 393, Trophies: Good Program, Score: 548.
Sometime it's slowing down. I think it's because FF11 can't handle HTML5 so good.
Can't the whole game be in english? And that vibrant colored thing was what that I picked up? The first screen not mentions it. It was a trophy? If yes than how am I suppose to know that I have to pick it up?
Balancing is another story in LDs. But I think the wrenches are really rare if i count that it is there for so short time and in most cases near one of the corners so I can't reach.
Kept me playing for quite some time - I like the whole "use yourself as a meat shield, then run find health" thing, I've never seen that done before. Nice job!
Thanks for all your comments :)
rawbit => in fact, I made the game in French, and at the end I started to translate it in English. Some words are not translated, I would like to, but I don't know if I can: maybe it's too late, because the game is submitted and the LD is over. If someone knows if I can just translate some words, please tell me I will do it :)
The basics work well enough. Graphics are functional, some animation would be nice. Sound effects are good and clear, but I think in a simple game like this there could've been some music :)
The level-clearing condition wasn't quite clear on the UI, so I was a bit surprised when it just ended. Another thing about the ending, while graphics are functional, the javascript dialogs are pretty offputting and don't really fit with the rest of the ui.
Well done overall, I like that you had to balance between defending and healing. Would have liked more gameplay variety, but what's there is pretty good.

I loved that you had seperate health for the CPU and the defender.
