Grief - SamShiels - Jam Entry
My name is Jack, I'm 18 and my brother Sam is 17. We developed Grief.
Grief is an experimental game about loss - the time constraints were difficult but I think that me and my brother managed to get the right feel into it. The game focuses mainly on the stages of grief surrounding a major change in life.
There are two executables available (Mac/PC). Tell us what you think and please vote for us!
Cheers

Guys, if you just tuned up the difficulty down a bit... or add ed more checkpoints, at least after the first jump which I made in one of ten attempts...
I like the overall idea, the graphics and the sound, but honestly the game is extremely frustrating, but nothing that revisiting the level design wouldn't fix :) Congratulations for the game, looks really polished.
Looks really polished but also runs pretty bad on my computer. It is made of wood, though, so that might be my problem. Overall, an entertaining game!
very polished, but very tough too. still, a great effort.
I'm of two minds about this game.
On the positive side, the graphics work, and the dynamic of playing the same level multiple times with different abilities is really nice.
On the negative side, the sound effects are strange (the sound effect for time manipulation on level 3 was terrible). Like others mentioned the controls are not really good, and the time manipulation ability of level 3 was really mysterious.
Thanks for the game.
I really hate jumping games.
I never made it past the first screen. There might have been some good gameplay after the first screen, but I never got to it.
Level one should be really easy. Not impossible.
The other elements looked really good and you did a good job on the opening scene.

Great game! Pretty tough at some times, but it gets the message out clearly and beautifully. I was sometimes confused with what I was supposed to do but I got the hang of it later.
