LonelyRouge - Brendan - 48 Hour Compo Entry
After about 30 hours of Compo I realized the NLP algorithim I was using for my original game just was not going to do the job I wanted it to do. So here Is plan B, a Hack-N-Slash rouge-like.
You will need python 2.7 to play this game!
Advice:
* Save the Green Things for after you are hurt!
* You turn darker red as you die
* You can take on 1 Grue at a time, but 2 can kill you easily!
* Never engage a Grue in the water, you move slower there! Grues do not!
* There is no winning, only seeing how long you can avoid death

hi brendan, I made an attempt to provide a windows package but ran into a bunch of dependency issues. also, i'm not sure but I needed to grab the pygame lib too.. anyways here's a python 2.5 build /w the pygame lib. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12652818/lonlyrouge.zip
great game! seeing pygame makes me happy. long live python!
I missed Vi-like keys to move around, being a rouge-like. I can't say it doesn't follow the theme, as the hero is al alone, but I rated low in innovation. Overall I think it is average-good if I take into account that you had to redone the game.
I had a bug scrolling in some of the levels; One of the generated dungeons had a corridor up north at the left-most part. When I moved toward that corridor the scrolled window moved a tile to the left and I couldn't see the "@" until I moved it to the right again.
I had an issue in
I double click on "LonelyRouge.py", and a console comes up briefly and disappears.
This game looked nice, but couldn't run it. :C
maybe try using py2exe next time?

Sorry, I have no idea how to start your game, even with Python 2.7 installed (Win7 here). Please explain. :-P
