You don't have to be alone - robashton - 48 Hour Compo Entry
Standard controls for such a thing, arrow keys, X to fire and space to jump.
As you kill more enemies, your gun will get more powerful and allow you to use it as a sort of jet pack.
There is a kitten, the kitten is the key, you don't have to be alone.

I couldn't finish the game because it crashed me twice (once about to finish with the cat on my back :-( ). And I don't hear music.
CONS:
* I found gravity pull annoying because it was soft. It made me lose lots of time.
* Didn't like to restart in a place infested with monsters with low-power laser. I tend to think checkpoint = safe heaven.
* After some time it starts boring me (sorry).
* It still has some bugs since it crashed me twice.
PROS:
* Love the laser-jetpack (when firing down).
* Love the kitten (but hate where you hide it).
* Love your early friends (rabbit and smack guy) and what happens to them (surprise).
* Web without applet or flash or unity.
* Complete game with story.
Anyway, I think 48 hours are not much. Congratulations for making a complete game and see you next LD!
Agree on all three points and yeah, I heard crashing was happening but sadly was not able to repro. :)
Glad you found the kitten, big respect to you! Thanks for playing and reviewing
Next time I do Ludum I hope to have a none boring game, I have not managed to make one of those yet. :p
Interesting physics (moon base perhaps?) Love the gun upgrade thing. Didn't find the kitten...
Man...you spent all that time setting it up as a three person puzzle platformer and then...well I won't post any spoilers, but I did stop playing once I reached the gauntlet. No thanks! Pretty solid effort overall though.
Whatever you did in the loading phase, Firefox croaked on it in an endless loop.
Nice effort mate. It crashed halfway through which was frustrating
I liked the beginning of this and even found the floaty jumpy physics charming (I think it works better if you allow there to be some window in which the player can be before scrolling, rather than fixing the scroll with the player in the center). The surprise with your friends was good. The game was very slow for me in Chrome, and once I got to the part with all the spiders I could hardly make any progress because it was so slow. Eventually I got trapped and the wizard kept respawning me into death. :(
couldnt get it to run, startup script runs forever and has to be killed by firefox to unlock the tab.

Oh, and there is music - so feel free to put your speakers on until you decide you absolutely hate it and OH MAN MAKE IT STOP.
