I'll have a lot to write about this game in the postmortem. Meanwhile:
Alone, we are all essentially alone, a single deity is also alone, but that's not the kind of alone this game is about. This game is about depraved violent little beings which kill other depraved violent little beings because the color under their feet is different, regardless of species or gender. This way they and those like them can be alone on the (rather flat) world.
Your job? To help them kill. Which beings? Your choice. You have equal control over all of them. Pick your favorites and pave the road with the skulls of your enemies.
There are a number of achievements, and you can consider the game 'won' if you get any of them.
- Have one single species left on the map (4 species, 4 achievements)
- Have a single creature left on the map (one achievement for either gender)
- Have one of each species left
I look forward to hearing from you on this game.

The game is too hard to understand. Graphics are very cool but I dont really see how does it connects to alone. Nice Work!
There are instructions in game, also:
This game is about depraved violent little beings which kill other depraved violent little beings because the color under their feet is different, regardless of species or gender. This way they and those like them can be alone on the (rather flat) world.
In a way you could say it's about world domination. 'Alone together'.
Quite confusing, it made it a little less fun, but once you destroy the barriers and convert everything to hunters the fun starts! :D
There is some usability issues, I find it a bit hard to control (why does they stop when I click one, but it's not clear how to change the character status/type/whatever..?). But nice to see a Processing.js entry, and it runs well. :)
Nice graphics, cool music (even though it wont loop in Firefox).
The game was very hard to understand at the beginning (even with the instructions) but when I finally understood and turned it into an epic battlefield it became much better =)
@tonic they stop when you click on them to make it easier to assign the traits. you activate a trait on the left, and when you click a trait slot it adds it to the character. If you want to add another trait you select another one from the left, or keep the current one as active
@I guess it takes a little trial and error to figure out :)
This is one of the few games that I've actually got addicted to! Took a while to understand (and it was a tough decision to pick cats over llamas) but it's actually quite fun (although it is getting a tad tedious).
once i got the hang of it it was a lot of fun! i liked the irc client under the game and it was an interesting game
@xandrew I'd often leave a window open unattended for extended periods of time then came back to see what it was doing.
@angrygeometry I just wish I could have done more with it, I had it planned early but other things took priority
Wow. I'm way too OCD to know how to make this go. I blame TV.
Thumbs up for HTML5?
@Dark Acre Jack Heh, haven't watched tv in 4-6 years. I lost count. I've been told that I haven't missed anything important.
It's a very ambitious game for a LD event, but the idea itself is pretty cool. Nice graphics. Llamas FTW! :3
@marudziik That's a very nice way of calling it incomplete. Thanks :D
To fix the audio looping, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3273552/html-5-audio-looping, specifically using this code http://stackoverflow.com/a/6452884/611349 so that its only called if loop doesnt exist.
As for the game, its a bit confusing. Having to focus the message box to dismiss it is awkward. Could add âhoverâ to aid item selection â as sometimes I select the wrong person.
@Andrew I rather meant it as in "complicated". :) Just that there aren't that many strategy-based games, especially written in HTML5. Imho quite awesome.
Nice graphics and a type of game I have never played before. I think all my Humins just walked off the edge of the map, but I still had fun.
@johndrinkwater thanks! bookmarked for future reference. I know what you mean about the help box, but it's been duct taped there last minute.
@I had the idea to do something similar to this for a long time but never got a chance to start. I figured that I might as well go for it :)
@Saxon Douglass that wasn't supposed to happen shhhh let's keep it a secret ;)
I can't seem to get anything to actually happen. I can click things, but nothing is responding. I'll try with a different browser tomorrow.
quite confusing (well... actually a lot :), took me quite a long time to get into it.
Very good entry, congratz
@SonnyBone Which browser are you using?
@Shigor I'm surprised it kept you playing for enough time to get into it. Most people would have quit and started complaining :)
Looks promising but a bit complicated according to me, too much things on the screen. I didn't like the graphics at first, and then...they went quite charming.

How do you run this game? I don't know what a .pde is, and I'm afraid you may have forgotten to updload and include the graphics. Please supply instructions on launching your game
