Crashes all the time for me straight off the main menu when I click play. No specific error - just the Windows 'Check Online for solution' thing.

If you re-download (using the same link) I updated the game to fix this issue, and the render error. A full change log is listed at the top of the Readme.txt file.

I played for like 20 minutes and had upgraded my ship a lot... but nothing happened. No enemies, no kitty :( I never got a win or lose. Not sure what happened, but I had to move on.

Sorry, I should have mentioned in the post (I'll do that now) that there is a white circular drone object that is somewhere in the level. When you shoot the drone it triggers the spawning of enemy ships.

The Drone can usually be found on one of the edges of the map, but sometimes they are near the station.

The kitty is placed randomly (like everything except the Mining Station) someplace in the level. I usually upgrade the ships engine first, then use a grid search pattern to find the kitten, and the drone.

Really cool, reminded me of galaxy on fire. The only issue was the resolution was too high and I could not see my credits. but otherwise great job

too hard! i upgraded everything a few levels before hitting the drone, couldn't kill a single enemy.

It definitely has potential, but... first time around, I probably hit the drone thingy without even knowing it and then when enemies started to spawn and attack, I had no chance... next time, after reading what i'm supposed to do, I've upgraded quite a lot, took out drone and... nothing...
(I'm thinking it would be too hard even with the upgrades).
But some improvement and it could be really fun game.

Yea its on the hard side, when you have 6 or 7 upgrades into engines, and as many as you have patience for into Weapons you can finish it fairly easy.

With the higher engines you can outrun the shots they fire, and the higher your weapon is the more accurate they get. Then it just a matter of kiting them where they need to be so you can hit them.

Shigor; I have seen that issue as well, I'm not sure what causes them to not spawn.

After a run of some very very crappy games, this was delightfully refreshing.
It could have used a little more clear instructions at the beginning, but aside from that it was very straight forward and fun. Good work.

@ Quimby Thanks. I agree the instructions at the beginning are really vague.

@ Th3dz Make sure you are running alone.exe, and not the other one. I have ran and tested the game on two different W7 computers, and haven't found a game breaking bug.

@ whilefun What part of the controls? just the default controls (you can change them) or that you had to use a button to upgrade the ship?

I just downloaded the .zip from the above link and it wasn't password protected, and the website is not password protected from viewing. So I'm not really sure what you are referring to.
