Feedback:
The platforming is very buggy. Flying up into the air occasinally, hanging on walls (I assume that wasn't intentional since it holds no utility), maybe some other stuff.
The theme seems to have very little to do with your game other than minor aesthetic choices such as some backgrounds and the music. The backstory seems completely irrelevant to the game itself, you may as well have said here's two people going on a break, here's a seperate 2d platformer. Picking up the portraits doesn't count since these may as well have been keys. The jumping around as a whole didn't seem to be explained anywhere (I didn't reach the end because I got bored - I've played enough 2d platformers in my life - so maybe it gets explained later).
The frustrating trial and error platforming also clashes quite a bit with the atmosphere.
The platforming (apart from the bugginess) was pretty good, I quite liked the backgrounds and the music was really nice so this isn't too bad, but no innovation or real theme fitting and clashing aesthetics and interaction.
Yeah, sorry about the platforming...didn't have time to tweak it more. Story doesn't hold together very much because I kinda ran out of time and had to cut out a part of it....
I got to the end after much frustration with the jumps (occasionally performing super jumps, combined with spikes and tiny platforms = ow) - the end said "something unexpected happened" on a white screen... but it just seemed to stay on that screen =/
Mood and music are great. Movement and collision detection are awful, though.
Something unexpected happened... [stays white]
Anyway, nice game, apart from movement. Luckily I play Super Meat Boy at the moment, so I'm a bit better at these platform jumps than normal. :D
The mood is great and the music a great addition, unfortunately the game stops being great here. The controls are buggy and the jumps are awkward; the theme and the game don't really fit together. Nevertheless, nicely done.

Love the music and the idea!
I found a bug with the jumps, every so often I would fly up too high.
I'm also a sucker for a good time lapse.
