A hero. A princess. A dragon. A sword (or not). Coins. Chests. Crates.
A simple story that may reflect the decisions we take in real life.
Playing with the Sound ON helps getting in-game feedback of what is going on :)
Made with:
- Unity3D (C#, iTween)
- cfxr
- Audacity
- Garage Band
- Photoshop
Also: Kitten!
Note: The source link takes to the BitBucket Git repository for the game. Just over "get source" to the right and download the zip.

Thanks! It can actually be called a "short game" because it requires you to do something. :D
Neat little game. A little strange you were given a choice at the end but you couldn't actually choose (or could you)?
Thanks! Actually you can't choose. To be honest, I planned to allow choices, but due to the lack of time, I ended up with the "bad" choice only :)
Well, I really enjoyed this... until it ended :(
I sat at the "Alone with a rocket kitten" screen for at least several seconds waiting for some awesome game-play to kick in where I would ride a rocket cat across the landscape or something...
The graphics were very charming and the comic-book panel style of game-play (if you can call it that) was really interesting.
If this had more 'doing' then this would have been the best LD22 game I'd played so far (well, other than mine, obviously :P); Nice work
It would have been 10x better, if you had included a little animation of you flying through clouds or space or something with the Rocket Kitty.
Sorta like a nyancat animation or something, but with rocket kitty!
Not much in the way of decision making. In fact, when I decided to forgo opening treasure chests on my first run, it still said "Ooh, a sword" when I had not even picked it up. Moving forward and continuing dialogue don't make a game alone. Nonetheless, it's good that you're learning about coding. You should definitely be able to make bigger and better things in the future.
Thanks guys. I worked shortly on the game, with some rush and laziness.
Goldendice: actually there are bugs, it's impossible to do something polished in 8 hours (the time I worked on this game).
By the way I'm not learning, I've worked on more than 22 games to date :) It just hapenned to be my first LD, but not my 1st game at all.
Not much in the way of a game, but it gave me a chuckle.
Probably should have had an animation or something when opening the boxes... otherwise they just seemed like decoration.
Like the concept of the scenes stacking on top of each other. Quirky overall :)
Quirky but appealing style, but not a lot to do. The direction switch at the screen edge led to me retreating accidentally a few times. I seriously expected Nyan cat at the end :)
It is not very deep gameplay-wise, but I found the graphics cute!
Thanks everyone! Mostly of the issues are because I worked only 8 hours instead of the available 48 hours :(
Here is my post mortem: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2012/01/03/loot-alone-post-mortem/
Is it just me or the rocket cat doesn't have ears!
It's very simple but alas, procrastination is a bitch :P. Congratulations on your first LD =).
Yep, no ears :) Made to fit the rounded-squared style of the other characters' heads.

Cool, but more like a flash animation than a game :P
