Mirror's Secret - BlueShaman - 48 Hour Competition Entry
Windows | OS/X | Linux | Web | Source
Short platformer fighting game based on running away, and getting trapped.
Made with Processing and Paint.Net. Music made using Audacity and Anvil Studio.
First LD competition that I've entered.
**Note!**
In one place, the space is only 1 tile tall. It's difficult to pass through! It's not supposed to be difficult, though, so step back to the bottom of the stairs and then jump at it if you're having trouble. Just keep trying and you'll get through.

Hey. The game was rather fun but as happened with Devenger I got stuck the same way.
For people stuck, just jump a bunch from the bottom of the stairs. I liked the arrows, but it was hard to tell when i was hitting him with my sword.
Step back and jump from a distance. I meant to remove all of those overly-short passages, but I didn't test one or two of the levels (that one being one).
This game feels really polished (apart from a few problems like that narrow hallways)! Excellent work.
I really like the atmosphere of the game.
For those that are stuck, try running a tiny bit before jumping.
Just in case you don't know this (you probably do though), you can easily make a web version of the game by using "Export Applet" in Processing.
The attack was very inventive. At first I couldn't figure out what the point of use the left mouse button was, but then I realized I seemed to be able to control the point of attack by moving the mouse. It was fun and reminded me a of jedi fight (or maybe sith).
Got stuck on narrow path but would have played for longer. I count that as a good sign. I like the realisation of the sword.
Good game. Got stuck on that narrow path. And it took me some time to figure out that I had to use the WASD keys. Another complaint is that after the game loses focus (on Linux), the WASD keys won't work =(
I just learned that I suck at swordfighting!! I hope to never need that skill… Well done game! :-)

I got stuck at a bit where the path through was too narrow for my character to fit through (ceiling too low), as far as I could tell. Did I just miss something?
