Failed Turn-based Space Combat - roBurky - Jam Entry
This doesn't fit the theme, and isn't complete enough to be a game. But it's what I spent the weekend on.
I've written a bit more about what I was trying to do with it on the Google+ blog post linked to above.

Wow, I can see the potential... Put 20 ships of different types all fighting each other on the screen at a time like an epic Star Wars battle... although I'll admit at first I thought it was a submarine. Definitely has a lot of potential -- I've played a turn based space combat game in 3d but I think 2d would be more fun. Surprisingly fun just to fly around for a minute, but I crave to blow something up.
Yeah, totally see where you were going with this. Cool idea for sure!
Very nice concept and could serve as basis for a game. Unsure how distracting giving command would be without playing it. There is no theme here though.
Cool idea for a new way to control things in some kind of space RTS, SpaceWar, or Asteroids type thing!
Interesting basis. THis would make for some great ultra-strategic space-battles (Flotilla comes to mind).
Interesting idea. I hope you find time to make a complete game.
there's an enemy ship in the picture! i played for a bit and all I did was float around space. how do you find enemies
