Space Pirates Suck! - Xion - 48 Hour Competition Entry
Would like to make another level or two, it's a bit short. But here is as it stands at the 48 hour mark.
The more quickly you move, the more readily you'll be detected, so sneak if you plan on coming from behind.
edit: another note, the enemies' vision cones is primarily an indicator of their facing direction, not the range at which they can see you. They can see much further than that.

I liked it, tho I missed some ambient sound, this game was asking for spacey wooooshes and computer noises on the background.
I like the graphics, but the game is kind of frustrating since you can't attack once the space pirates have noticed you. I keep dying too quickly =/
I was dying for an option to beat on the aliens, but I'm violent like that.
Nicely done. Cure art, though in need of variety or polish. Camera shifting is cool, but when moving about many corners, it becomes too shakey.
Excellent entry, functional, interesting gameplay (so much like old metal gear :) polished, no bugs I've seen. Difficulty seems about right for me, not to hard, not to easy. Audio is about the only thing which could really use some improvement.
As for the length of the game, I think it's pretty sufficient for 48 hours compo.
Nice game, but really unforgiving! Noobs like me need checkpoints every 2 seconds.
The game was quite hard, I think it would be appropriate to have some sort of tutorial.
The graphics were great and the mechanics were pretty solid as well. The difficultly needed to be turned down or have some checkpoints somewhere. Too much backtracking. Also the pirates viewable distance should get turned down a bit.
Nice character sprites/anims, and quite a well implemented game - but very unforgiving - the indicators don't show the full extent of an enemy's line of sight?

Neat, and functional. Although I don't really see why you wouldn't want to be sneaking all time time, unless you screw up. Love the vision range displays, although enemies sometimes saw me from way beyond them if I was straight ahead of them.
