Luring bloodthirsty cavemen into pits was far more satisfying than hacking at them.
Heh, I liked watching those cavemen jump to their deaths. The game over taunt was neat as well. The platformer engine was a bit annoying due to the sliding and floatiness of the jump.
I really liked the moment when I grabbed the sword and all the cavemen went nuts trying to kill me.
I totally agree that the platformer controls are bad, I wil re-write them.
@Dark Acre jack : This weekend I will make more.. better storytelling and more levels more, lost weapon, different time periods, sfx are on the way!
Thank you for your comments guys, you rock!
The platforming elements were needlessly finicky. Controls in your post-compo version are better, but the design of the level is still needlessly complex.
Liked the concept, would like to see you flesh it out more.
Could use some audio, but it certainly isn't that bad for a 60% job. Controls are a little too slippery (in post compo version much better), but there are no real problems. Loved death animation, but starting every time at the beginning wasn't that fun. Other than that - nothing better than watching those silly natives fall down to their deaths, when I'm just standing safely on a platform.
This could be a very good game when finished.

Note: Those cave men won't attack you until you get the sword.
