Escape Deletion - siebharinn - 48 Hour Competition Entry
I have written a short post mortem on the whole thing.
http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2011/08/22/escape-deletion-post-mortem/
My start and end screens were unfinished, so directions are - use the arrow keys to move, esc to exit from the game, spacebar after you die. Don't touch anything. Don't let anything touch you. Get to the end of each level.
-- Fixed the missing libraries. Back to ruby 1.9.2. Going to move the source up to github today-ish.
-- Uploaded Mac version
-- Uploaded source code

great audio work. however, it ran a bit slowly, the player hit box felt very unfair, and each level seemed to have the exact same wall layout.
"Tron" feel is nice, but it was kinda boring (and later maybe too tough). BTW for some reason audio doesn't work for me (WinXP), so i listened to the menu tune manually (nice one :). And your level format is genius :D
Sorry, can't really rate on community. Somehow the link to your journal is broken?
Cool little game. Although it is kinda slow and gets boring real quick, the audio is quite nice. And yeah, the collision boxes are really unfair.
Did not have the patience to try to finish it, but with some polish it could become a cool little game. The feel for speed would be kinda nice.
Nice theme, graphics and sound, but definitely needs more time spent on the gameplay.
Pretty good overall.
The sound effects were good. The gameplay a bit dull and I didn't feel like I was escaping, though.
Simple, straightforward concept done well. Soundscape was nice and fit the visuals. Too bad you didn't have time to finish title/ending screens and score, etc.

I like the whole computer feel of the game, especially how the minimal text contributes to it. It didn't feel like I was escaping but I did get the feeling when I was chased by the red enemies.
