PINK LASER!

This is the game idea that I was aiming for originally, but then realized that I really wouldn't have time to make fun levels, as level design pretty much makes or breaks these games.

Doesn't seem to run for me either.

it keeps closing itself on me! i play a couple of levels and then it just closes :< blar!

Not bad. I didn't like to have to press Space all the time, while the game itself is entirely mouse controlled.

Hey, it's the same game Lerc made! And a lot like Rale too. I've only played a few entries... I wonder how many more are going to be this one too? I like the loose/fat cartoon style, although the 3D space station(?) doesn't match! It looks good, though.
The provided levels are awfully simple, and the random mode is... very bad. I guess it's just totally random, throwing items all over? But it is definitely cool that it's included, polish+ for that, even if random mode's not all that playable. I would've liked this more if it included levels with some challenge to them, or just more levels all around, but it's a good entry!

If you check my comments on Lerc's game you'll see that I didn't quite handle that one very well, and since yours is almost the same concept this applies here too. The first three levels are boringly simple, and the fourth is impossible (to me). When I fail at level 4 the game quits (doesn't seem to do that for everyone, strangely) so I have to restart from level 1 over and over, which is annoying. I guess I could rename the level files, but I doubt I'd complete level 4 anyway.
At least the animations are cute :)

Puzzles were too easy. It would randomly crash during the press spacebar to go to next level screen. Random mode is unplayable. Not bad for starting half way through though.

fairly pretty, but I didnt really find it fun :(

Is there a try counter? After three failures the game quits on me.

Didn't work. Just flashed a window on my screen.

Pretty, but not so much fun, probably because it lacked levels (and the few you had were very easy).
Also had a crash after level 4.

The game tended to quit when I failed level 4 or a random level and sometimes when I won, too, which was annoying. I assume that's a bug.
Anyway, it's a good idea and somewhat fun while it lasts, though the first three levels felt more like tutorials and then there was just one more. So, needs more levels! The levels generated by the random level generator doesn't work at all unfortunately, they're too random and not fun to play at all.
Creepy player ship thing =)

Seemed to randomly crash. Solved the first 4 levels, couldn't get it to load the fifth.

EXE file for my game
Here is an exe and some dlls for my game if you use windows. You still need the data (graphics and levels) from the other archive though. Just put the contents of the two zip-files into the same directory.
Here’s the zip:
http://d.skalle.googlepages.com/ld10_final_exe.zip
If nobody gets any problems with this zip then I will probably make a new zip with the EXE, the datafiles and the source code together.
Skalle: Galectric final
My game is done now. You can download it here, enjoy
http://d.skalle.googlepages.com/ld10_final.zip
This zip countains source code and linux executable. Windows executable should come whenever I have the time.
Still much left, but at least past more than nothing
I didn’t start working until maybe 18 hours of the competition had passed. This was because I was wisely spending my time sleeping and playing FF7. Now I’ve started though, and even though it is not much I think I should post something about my game. Hopefully it will make me want to finish it more and make it better.
The purpose is to send energy to all the planets in the area to complete a level. The purple things in the picture are rays of energy. The grey thing in the middle is the space station, that will send out energy. You can see a comet also, followed by some particles. The rest of the particles (yellow) are from a planet that blew up when a comet hit it (this makes you lose). Never mind the thing at the bottom.
Right now I’m fighting a really annoying bug.
