what is there to say?
I will be in the Ludum Dare 15
I will be in the Ludum Dare 15
Thanks everyone that helped populate our fake compo.
We’ve gone ahead and made some tweaks to how the compo results show up. You can check out how things look, and toss in some fake votes here:
http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/category/ld-test/?tag=final+final
Right now at the top, we show everyone 20 random entrants. These 20 are specific to everyone, and will (should) not change. You can click a button to expand the list and see everyone.
In addition, every appropriate “Final” tagged post now has a button you can click on to actually vote for that entry. That should save a lot of searching around.
Phil and my time is short this week, but if you have any other ideas for “little” things we can do to make this better, leave a comment.
Thanks again.
This fascinating game involves simulating individual agents interacting in artificial markets to improve their well-being.

You win by submitting a paper and being allowed to graduate.

Exciting new game where you play a cup of coffee on its way to being consumed at a high rate of speed. All coffee was brewed during the 48hr period of this competition. No beans were harmed in the making of this game (OK, that is a lie.) Enjoy!
For the fake vote competition, I present:
THE GAME
It’s not only a beautiful metaphor, it’s also quite artistic. Further, it features very spectacular, stereoscopic gameplay. Behold:

It was tough, but I managed to finish my game in 48 hours! Here’s a screenshot:
Huh! I’m not on the grid!
Well, let’s try that again:

it's gone now
I got really attached to this idea, so I’ll probably work up a post-compo version sometime in the next decade or so. Wish me luck!

In the grim future of Ludum Dare, there is only war.
Sint 2000 is finally ready, you can download it here. To compile the source code, you’ll need to install Clean and the Clean Game Library.
This game won’t run in DOS, you’ll need Windows 95/98/ME with DirectX 3 or above. Also, your graphics card must support 16 or 32 bit color (at 640×480), it won’t work in 256-color mode. I hope most people will still be able to play the game!
It was good to have an entire month for this competition, I really needed it. Scripting those graphics in POVRay was a lot of work.
Enjoy!

I do.
I think about you day and night.

It’s only right.
To think about the girl you love.
And hold her tight.
So happy togeeetheeeeeeeeeer.

cat
WHY IS THIS CAT UPSIDE DOWN? PLAY THIS GAME TO FIND OUT!
Its the 3r d game in our most popular series, this time in 24 bit color and full windows 98 and ME support!
Enjoy

Absolutely AM-CRAZ-OWL-ING. You know, it’s like “Amazing,” and than for the middle you put “craz” (like “crazy”) and then you put “Owl” in there just for fun. You know, because of the owl thing a while back. Funny, right? Guys?
Anyway, I hope everything works.
This is my entry to the dummy compo. I HOPE I WIN!

Post Mortem!
What went right: I searched on google for a “dummy” picture, and then I found one!
What went wrong: The image had a stupid copyright in the corner!!! Luckily I used photoshop to crop it out! YEAH!
All in all, it was a great experience. I can’t wait to try the other dummy games!
This is my final release for the LD Test 2000 compo, the topic this time: C64

I did it in five minutes. I dont have that much time this weekend because I’m busy playing tony hawks 2, I doubt I”l do much else this year either. give me a few years, I’m sure I’ll broaden my horizons.

I totally made this >_>

Heine recalling his meeting with Hegel in Berlin. Heine, expressing his appreciation of the night-sky, was met with this response from Hegel:
‘The stars, harrumph, the stars are only a gleaming leprosy on the sky.’
(Quote found on the the m. john harrison blog.)
This is my final entry to the non-existant test compo. Enjoy not playing it.
For this LD, I thought I’d try to recreate a game that my older brother would incur on me. Oh, it was so fun, I still wince when I think of it…

Why would I want to play this again?

Will the poor little tortus ever make it home? With your help he might!
