As requested, i have uploaded sources to web : sources (Unity 3.5)
Also have done a timelapse video of entire development : timelapse (YouTube)
- Unity rules!
- Spent too much time on visuals (maybe it was worth it?)
- Gameplay too simple (had no time to add more depth)
And two brand-new screens!
HaveDone story, characters, pickupables, upgrades, progression and final boss.
Ok, decided to release at this point!
Please test and tell is it working or not, and at which framerate!
Now i made second enemy type, which can shoot – The Blevator.
Also hero robot now have life and can die.
I implemented planet random generation and jumping from one planet to another, but it is not working perfectly…
Still so much things are absent. Pickupables, updgrades, story, main charactert more enemies, more worlds.
I really dunno how to finish this, need some quick finalization.
Slowly starting to panic.
Around 6 hours in…Now i have some simple character, he can walk on planet with procedural leg animation and shoot bullets which fly, fall and explode.
Also have day and night side of planet, transiting smoothly.
Too slow of course, as always. And i am kinda stuck – cant make simple trees looking good. Probably need some modelling here…
Dunno if i can accomplish something at all. No enemies yet, no anything…
Late start, as always, just waked up.
Thinking about the idea, maybe something like small planets, and you can travel between them…
