Done like Dinner

Finished my entry, and I’m quite happy with it.  I wrote more about it, and why its in early.  Quite frankly, I’m just too lazy to write it again :) Link to the entry, and a screenshot to make this post look less boring.

I found a Gimmick! “Le Petit”

I worked for a few more hours when I woke up.  I got a lot done, way more then I expected, like ways to die, more art, and  even a cool gimmick.  This screenshot shows part of the level, with spikes and a metallic background.

To do:

  • add sounds
  • add music
  • sleep

 

Progress? “Le Petit”

Started working on my entry called “Le Petit”.

That means the small in french, which by the way I don’t speak.

It’s gonna be a platformer, and I’ve yet to think of a cool gimmick, but I got the basic movement engine, character art, and started the level art.  I also added a “cool” death animation, your dead bodies litter the ground where you died, and when you die an angle appears and floats off the top of the screen.  Overall I think its been good progress for 2 hours work.  Here is a screenshot of the some art and the death animation.

To do:

  • add enemies and traps
  • add cool gimmick
  • design levels
  • add sounds
  • add music?
  • add intro screen
  • sleep

I’ll keep you guys posted on any progress I make.
