So our entry for Ludum Dare #23 Game Jam is coming along nicely. We’re making a 2D Puzzle/Platformer with a twist- or more literally, a rotation. The engine is essentially finished- now it just comes down to extra things (keys and doors, switches, spikes) and level design.

I’ve been working on the code and my friend ScorpionR95′s been doing the art and design. Being the first serious project for either of us, we’re happy with our progress. While the game could surely use some polish and bug testing, what else was to be expected? It’s not like we know what were doing.

    Good luck everyone!

Both ScorpionR95 and myself (King Kay) will be participating in our first ever Ludum Dare this weekend! Since there are two of us and we are both fairly inexperienced, we’re sticking to the Jam instead of the more hard-core Competition.

    We’ll be using-

    > Framework: Game Maker 8.1 Pro

    > Language: GML (Game Maker Language)

    > Graphics: MS Paint , MyPaint and GIMP

    > Audio: Audacity, MSRecord, and LMMS

Looking forward to making a game with all you fine people! It’ll be an interesting learning experience, and also fun! And since this is our first time and all, we won’t be bothering with a time-lapse.

Good luck to all of you!
