So, where to begin? First off, I’m really glad (GLaD, even) that I got to participate with so many awesome people! You’re all great!
I made the game Tiny Adventures In SPACE. It’s a pretty simple ‘avoid-em-up’, with very odd things floating about in space. Overall, the experience was amazing.
What went right:
- I finished :p (always a good sign)
- I was pretty happy with my game
- My game includes bacon :p
- My work area was good
- I took breaks, and managed to get decent sleep
- I had coffee :p
- I had fun on IRC and Twitter
- I. HAD. FUN!
What went wrong:
- I couldn’t come up with an idea at first
- My idea was slightly too complex
- My game actually has a few (small) know bugs
- I wasted time on IRC and Twitter
- No music in the game
- Not very polished game in general
All in all, a VERY good experience. I look forward to playing more of your games, and will definitely take part next time as well!

I submitted. And I’m exhausted. And yet I’m ready for more!

It has sound effects but no music, no effects, and programmer art. But I’m happy with it, so that’s all that matters.
I plan to continue work on it, and release a post-compo version (or three).
Good luck to everyone. It was a great Ludum Dare!
Well, I have sounds done now. I just need to figure out some music, maybe. Not sure exactly what I’m going to do.
Today is going to be all about adding the ending “cutscreen”, and polish.
And, of course, sound and music. We’ll see how it goes.
Irish beer stew tastes good. Who knew? :p
Anyway, I finally thought of a use for the “interest” mechanic: ship speed.
I also add the sixth (and last) planet. Now I think I might take a quick nap before more work.
I didn’t like the chosen theme at first, but I think I’ve warmed to it a little.
My idea is this: A small creature from a small planet wants to explore space (that smallest circle is his). it will be a kind of “Avoid-em-up”. The screen you see is where you choose a planet to travel to.
All I have is that screen and basic movement and asteroid spawning.
Presenting: 99 Keys!
99 Keys is a game about jumping and collecting keys. Simple, but it will take a lot of patience to go through all 99 keys!
Page is here:
I’m feeling warmed up!
Just under 10 days left, I’m overly excited! This will be my third time participating, not including miniLD 33.
I plan to use:
- Flash and FlashPunk (for the code)
- GraphicsGale (for the graphics)
- Maybe sfxr (for the bleep bloops)
- Coffee (for the sanity)
I’m not sure what kind of game I’ll be making. I do know that it won’t be another shooter! :p
