I simply wanted to say a big big thank you to everybody there for their votes for Time Pigmy. This was my first LudumDare participation. And let me tell you : I loved it. Every single moment during this long weekend
I will be there for LD#20 in April, for sure.
Benjamin & me work in a french indie game company we made 10 years ago, Motion Twin, and we still take lot’s of pleasure in creating new concepts everyday.
Have fun everybody, keep creating great stuff and keep innovation & originality to it’s highest.
Here is my timelapse
At last, I managed to complete the game & fix all the remaining bugs…
Play it here : entry
The engine took me one day to code from scratch (no flixel, nor punk). If i had more time, I would add a music track & allow level editing Maybe later !
I really enjoyed this weekend ! We were 5 people participating here, at Motion Twin (Bordeaux, France) : Whitetigle, Bumdum, Vallandre, Hane and me !
I will be there for LD20, for sure
Comments are welcome !
And yet another post !
There are so many details to complete before releasing… I plan to spent the next few hours between :
- level design,
- add looot’s of other stupid “new concept discoveries” to unlock,
- sound design,
- intro + outro.
The main engine is working and quite stable. Pretty happy with the way it looks now
Got a quick nap and decided to TOTALLY revamp my first concept (a spaceman exploring an unknown world). Finally, you will play a prehistoric man, accidentaly teleported in our modern days, and you will have to use the short time granted to discover as many concepts as possible.
Destroy a TV with your heavy stone mace, and you will be awarded with “Discovered the concept of Channel-Hopping”.
Latest version, also known as :
“hey look at me guys, I collide with things ! Woohoo !”
Ok… Took me almost 2 hours to figure it out, but I finally decided to start a 2D platform engine. Gonna take a while !
I will try to simplify the tricky collision part to a minimal (yet working) problem. Yeah, I know, it never works like that.
Hello everybody !
This is my really first LD participation I plan to use the following tools & libraries :
