[Insert Generic "I'm in" Post]
Judging by the title, you can guess that I’m in. Not sure on anything that I’ll be using yet. However, I will be live streaming again. I’ll update later when I have some sort of idea what I’m going to use. Maybe HTML5, or Java, or Assembly! Who knows!
Livestream!
Hello fellow coders! I’ll be doing a livestream at join.me/worldofzak! Check it out!
Livestream and Such
Alright, this is my second time doing this. Hopefully I don’t fall asleep before I punch the bugs out of my game this time! I’m going to hosting a livestream on my site. You can check that out here!
For development I’m using:
- IDE: Eclipse
- Language: Java, C++, or D. I haven’t decided yet.
- Libraries: None! (again)
- Graphics: Gimp
- SFX & Music: FL Studios 10
- Sleep Deprivation Apparatus: Coffee
Right on Schedule
I just finished building the engine for the game. It’s about 3:30 AM here and I think I should go to bed. I’ll build the game tomorrow….
Starting Late
I just realized that I have work tonight until 10…
The compo starts around 9. It’ll take about a half an hour to close up shop, and about 10 minutes to get home. I will be able to start around 10:40. I’ll just have to work faster!
Final Decision
I’ve made a decision on what I’m using!
- Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2 Precise Pangolin for my OS
- Java as my language of choice (no external libraries)
- OpenJDK 6 as my JDK
- Gimp for graphics
- SFXR for audio
I may possibly have a chat channel going during development. No live-stream. Time-lapse video will be made. Details here!
Tools all Set
I have my tools working and ready. Still not sure on the programming language though…
- Either using Java or D for a programming language(I haven’t decided)
- Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2 Precise Pangolin for my OS
- Gimp for graphics
- SFXR for audio
Compo here I come!
Looks Like I’m In!
Hopefully I will be able to finish the game in time! (Or finish it without too many bugs)
