Heeeeey yooou guuuuys!

My first ludum dare is now over (for me) and here is my submission:

http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-18/?action=preview&uid=2365

Things learnt:

  • I’m not that great at art
  • I can create an awesome intro and title screen
  • My idea was way to complex for a 48h compo
  • I’m bad at compressing stuff :(
  • I should use unity/flash/somethingotherthanxna next time

I hope you’ll endure the download size and try my game :)

Making compromises

Screw you guys!

You’re getting 3 sub-par levels. Then I’m going to bed!

Here’s a list of what I would create if I had one more day (don’t have time for the jam :P ):

  • Particle system (fancy graphics!)
  • A “Story”
  • Different types of henchmen
  • Actual in-game graphics
  • In-game sound
  • In-game music
  • Some good levels

Give me 1 hour and I’ll have a game for you! (maybe)

First level – Also my art is crappy

Bonjour!

I have a level now. It’s not a pretty sight, but I’m not going to make it any prettier :P

Oh god my eyes.. my eeeeeeyes!

Oh god my eyes.. my eeeeeeyes!

Also I have some music in my game now. By game I mean the intro and title screen, since the game screen itself will have no music or sounds, since I don’t have time to do either :)

My focus now is to create 5-ish fun levels. Then my game will be done.

How the game looks now. aka Useless Addition #1

Why hello there!

The brain moves in the jar! also bubbles! (yay)

This is how the game looks right now. You *can* play it, but it’s not very fun right now.

The basic gameplay options are programmed, but the game is in no way challenging and/or fun.

The premise of the game is that you have to kill the VIP (that guy with a ‘V’ on him). The only way you can do that is to use your psychic powers to kill him!

You can, however, only use your psychic powers on people you can touch. So in this example, you need to use a henchman (‘E’!) to open the door and then you can kill the VIP.

Give me a lot of hours and I’ll have some levels that are actually fun to play!

(also the placeholder art stays! I’m a programmer damnit, not a fancy-pants art guy!)

Very late progress blog post thingie

This is as good as my drawings get. Don't except any awesome in-game graphics though :)

Hi there!

You can’t play my game yet, but I can show you my title screen which is arguably the best part of my game! (so far)
