End of Day 1
Decided to go a for “minimalist” gameplay version of RPG. Greatly inspired by ProgressQuest I must say. I wasn’t sure if I wanted full combat interaction, but I went for it.
It should focus on equipment management with a twist of random events that should make every replay unique.
Most of it is already done. I need to code more skill, add the random events like merchants and shrines. Then will be the long job of balancing and adding a good amount of items/monsters (with their graphics hopefully, but that is not 100% sure yet !)
Minimalist is not a theme
Woke up like thirty minute ago, to find that the theme is Minimalist.
I am upset.
Most people will use this to make a game with minimalist UI/Controls. This is not a theme, this is a rule. This goes against the LD spirit.
I am still gonna try but not sure I will respect the theme.
I am in !
Last time I entered the Jam with Carduus but this time I am going back to the 48h Compo
Like every time, I will be using Haxe + NME as this provide the most flexibility for multi-platform.
You can follow me on G+
I will also be streaming on twitch : http://www.twitch.tv/thotor
It is done !
Finished the bug hunting plus minor tweaking ( like volume control)
You can check my game in the list :

There is a secret level to be found ! Don’t hesitate to comment if you find it but don’t say how you get there so everyone can search for themselves.
The quality of the background vary from levels. I admit I am really not good at graphics
Let it snow, Let it snow …
Taking a break from level design and added some snow for my snow globe
(I really need to update the rest of the graphics, they look so horrible)

Little set back
I decided to make a small plaftorm game using snow globes
I have my platform engine running and created a small editor to make the levels. But it seems my system is flawed and I got some collision problem. I should have gone for a classic grid collisions instead.
demo is up here (contains collision bug right now :/) : http://ttermeer.com/ld23/
Well back to fixing my collision problem before making the next levels
I am in !
First time for me. Curious to see what I can come up with, even if my graphic skills are just terrible
Here is what I plan to use :
Language : haXe
Engine : haXe NME
Targeted plaftorm : Web (Flash, maybe HTML 5 is NME output requires no tweak), Windows.
I only used haXe twice so far so my knowdlege ain’t very strong however it is fairly simple to use as it is based on AS3. It will allow me to target any platform I want in the future ( even mobiles, mac and linux).
NME is a flash like API. Same structure with Stage, sprites and so on but with a much faster rendering (at least on the mobile test I did)
I will posting my progress on my G+ profile, you can follow me on :
