Tower of Doom (final)
Ok. So I’m done! Thanks to timezone, I’m early too.
This has been my first competition, and it’s been a lot of fun.
Download it: http://www.ingeniumdigital.com/ldimg/TowerOfDoom.zip
Readme it: http://www.ingeniumdigital.com/ldimg/readme.txt
With all hope (due to its lack of being tested) it’ll actually work. It’s written in C++ with SFML. I’ve licensed the source under the MIT license. If this is a problem, yell.
Stay tuned for a postmortem and perhaps a less broken build after I sleep.

For my first compo, things are going well. I have an idea. I have a prototype and I have icky, vomitworthy, stretched and scaled programmer art.
The idea is based around owls (as I can’t draw owls, at the moment they are O.W.L. spy planes) that poo on towers. There is one evil tower and several good towers. The aim is to destroy the evil tower while harming as few good towers as possible, without being able to tell one from the other. I hope to add a time limit and owl limit (or perhaps owl feeding limit), and possibly some powerups.
Hello Ludum World!
So the fun is about to start; madness is just around the corner.
Like half of the people here, this is going to be my first Ludum Dare. </Excited, Pants Wetting Squeal>
Unlike half of the people here, I’m going to be a heretic and not use python. This is partly because I want “I didn’t use python” as an excuse if I fail and partly because I don’t know python.
Thus far “Evolution” is looking likely. A few mad ideas are running around in my skull, trying to establish dominance and a supply of crisps. Hopefully one of them will evolve into something useable and full of awe (but not awful).
Good luck everyone, let the source be with you.
