Friday, December 14th, 2012 11:24 pmI guess I’m gonna do this! I’ve been wanting to do something with Twine for a while now, and this theme seems like a great opportunity to do so. Given how Twine doesn’t involve too much in the way of actual programming (something I’m historically bad doing quickly enough for a jam) I might just actually finish this time!
I’m beginning to notice a pattern
Saturday, August 25th, 2012 5:12 pmMy game just isn’t working out. I think I’m gonna drop out again. One day I’ll actually finish one of these. I’m not coming out of this one completely empty handed, though. I’ll always have the memory of getting lots of hearts and and a freakin’ TROPHY for my super awesome title screen.
Prepare yourself

[WORK IN PROGRESS] Title screen
Friday, August 24th, 2012 9:44 pmLES DO EET
Friday, August 24th, 2012 4:29 pmAll previous times, I gave up fairly early in the compo. This time, I am going to try my darndest to actually finish. I’m hoping that it will help that in between this and the last one, I actually released my first game!
I’m using FlashPunk again, since it’s the only thing I really know how to use. I have a simple platformer framework using FlashPunk that I’ve been working on that I’ll use if I decide to go down that route for my game. As per the rules, it’s available here, though I can’t imagine why you’d want to use it. It’s not very good.
Good luck to everyone!
Adios
Saturday, April 21st, 2012 5:03 pmThis mess of incomprehensibility is all I’ve got so far. There’s still a crazy about of work to do be done to actually call it a game, and the more I think about the basic concept, the less I like it.
So, I’m calling it quits on this one. I’m feeling like my programming skills aren’t currently at the point where I should have undertaken a 48 hour competition like this. I’m still gonna try next time, though!
Progress is slow

Tuesday, April 17th, 2012 10:56 pmI’m in! I tried to participate in the last one of these, but real life engagements got in the way. This time, real life continues to rear its ugly head with a thing I have to go to, cutting my 48 hours down to 45. Still, I should hopefully be able to churn something out. I’ve never finished a game before, let alone in a weekend. I’ll be using Flashpunk and probably not sleeping enough.
About two hours worth of work

Not only does an uber low-res art style give me “indie cred”, it also cleverly distracts you from the fact that I couldn’t draw anything to save my life!
I’m using a few premade behaviors from StencylForge. I asked on IRC if that was okay with the rules, and he said it was because they’re publicly available. I’m going to believe him for now because that makes things a lot easier for me.
Still not sure what exactly I’m going for here. I’ve got a nice atmosphere in mind, but that won’t matter if I don’t have any actual gameplay to go with it.
Also, I’m ridiculously tired and need rest, so I’m gonna sleep on it. Good night everyone!
Oh, what the hell.
Saturday, December 17th, 2011 1:12 amI’ve never actually done one of these before, and I’m late, and it’ll probably be not very good if I even finish it. Gotta try anyway. Gonna be using Stencyl cause I’m not great at programming. We’ll see how this goes.
