Away ye go, ghost!
Flashlights now ready, ghosts can be scared (minimum 2 hits) and even banished (4 hits) with them, ghosts do non harm yet and there is no target, but that’s next, graphics, audio and leveldesign are also pending. Messing around with those ghosts can be quite funny.

First draft online
I couldn’t Imagine how fuzzy the jar-thingie with java is, or maybe it’s just me, but it took me hours to put it together in a working state, but finaly, here is my first draft. It’s incomplete, buggy and ugly, but it haz multiple characters at once and Buttons (you can even play it together with a friend, if you share a keyboard or so)
Progress
Game Idea is finished and written on paper (you’re gonna controll 4 characters in a haunted house simultanously)
Engine from scratch is begining to work, animated sprites and moveable objects work, walls and collision are next
no graphics yet, so nothing to show
T minus eight and a half hours
It’s 19:30 here, Ludum Dare will start 4 o’clock in the morning

I found Ludum Dare, I thought: “awesome”, I decided to be part of it.
So I’m in for the first time, probably not prepared enough.
I’m going to create a java applet (maybe using an 2D engine) and use the following tools: (more…)
