  • More level tweaking
  • Various improvements here and there

Enjoy =)

Zombiis

Almost final version of my monochromatic Zombii (NOT zombie) game. It’s a classic top-down shooter in which you have one goal: kill all zombiis. Enjoy.

I think I’ll drop out. Theme is uninspiring this time around, and I can’t seem to come up with a good game idea. I might throw together some sort of Towlr game with Lua, but I’m not going full-out and making a big epic game :P

Good luck to everyone else. Have fun LDing :)

PyGL2D Bug Update

Posted by pymike
Sunday, November 30th, 2008

I made some important bug fixes to PyGL2D, one of which was a serious memory leakage problem. I also added a couple nice (but minor) features. The doc was updated too.

Get it here.

Phew, got it finished :P

PyGL2D is a simple 2D library for PyGame and PyOpenGL. It’s licensed under the GNU LGPL. See http://pygame.org/project/972/

You can download it here.

Yoyo yo all. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to do this LD since I still have no internet. :-( *sigh*

!@#$ Time Capsule!

Posted by pymike
Friday, July 11th, 2008

OK so like we got Time Capsule, which is our router now. Of course my WiFi Adapter won’t work with it, so I’m pretty much screwed ATM.

Hopefully I’ll be getting a 50ft long cord to connect into the router and be running Ubuntu pretty soon, but until then I won’t be online very much at all :(

Sorry I didn’t post my MiniLD #2 entry… no way to upload it :( Congrats to the people that finished! I’d play their entries if I could download them…

Hopefully I’ll see you all in the near future…

Cheerio!

Yeah it’s sort of a play-off of Signs. The game’s like a really simple 2d FPS. I’m not gonna be working a whole lot on it, but here’s a screenie of it.

Cheers!

OK so I made a game in 60 minutes. Its uber easy and uber short. Beat Frogger as Galaga! Use the arrows to move and space to shoot.

LD Dropout

Posted by pymike
Sunday, June 8th, 2008

Yes, I dropped out because:

  1. Way too many distractions this weekend (two of them being Lego Indy and Mario Party ;) )
  2. My RPG Battle engine had a weird bug, and I didn’t want to spend forever fixing it.

Hopefully I’ll stay more focused next LD :) Looking forward to playing ya’ll’s games. Who knows… maybe I’ll make a game in 30 minutes real quick?

Keen vs. Comic

Posted by pymike
Saturday, June 7th, 2008

So I’m going for Retro DOS epicness! Commander Keen vs. Captain Comic! I’ve never actually played Captain Comic, but Commander Keen is one of my favorite game sagas, and I’ve always wanted to make a fan-game of him.

The game is going to be an RPG (hopefully). You’ll explore a planet (Mars, I guess?) in search of Captain Comic, who has raised the Vorticons in revolt against Keen. (yes its lame, and I might change that later on) When you touch an enemy, it will go into a battle mode like Mario & Luigi (GBA and DS) and Paper Mario (GC).

I started drawing the graphics last night, and I’ve got most of the “overworld” graphics done. Here’s a screenie of my progress:

And yes, everything is collidable and there’s a camera that works :) I’m using my Flibber game engine to make it.

Anyway, I’ll see ya all around. Good luck with your games :)

Pixelman 3 - Final

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

Okay, this time I really think I’m done. I added an intro and an outro, fixed some bugs, and changed the way scoring works, and tweaked gameplay a little bit. I also added a windows executable. Cheers! :-D

Pixelman 3

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

Woot! I’ve made some good progress on my game. Its a 2D platformer (how inventive, eh?). Unfortunately, its really hard not inserting all my ideas in, since the theme is “Minimalist”. Anyway here’s a screenie of my prog:

And believe it or not, everything you see on there is in one file! Now that’s minimal ;-)

I made a few more updates to my game, so this is the real final release. Enjoy!

The story of “Invasion of the Blobs”:

A satellite orbiting Earth detects a mass of weird lifeforms rapidly heading towards the sun, that seem to collect around a massive green lifeform. Alarmed, and taken completely by surprise, Earth deploys a top-secret spacecraft to destroy weird mass of blobs, and the strange lifeform they collect around.
