    Sort of Failed

    HERE is the page

I really failed this one, even if i did submit it.

There was a game breaking bug and other misc bugs. the code is everywhere. It’s laggy. there’s no sound in the windows version. It doesn’t get harder because that made the game break. I finished late so i entered the jam. performance issues.

On the positive side, I think I like this games graphics the most out of all the games I’ve made. and I have a potato in mine. It’s the food crates.

I’ll try and do better next time.

    More Aesthetically Pleasing Now.

After being away all day, i managed to still get a lot done. the resource graphics are done now, mostly UI i need to focus on. I still need to do the people.

    Play Here

Click bottom supplies to give correct amount to buyer within timer range. going over what he asks stops it and he takes it all, same if you don’t beat the timer.

Note to self: don’t forget sound.

    Good Progress!

After starting a bit late, I’ve got the basic mechanic in the game. It’s going to be one of those “order up” type games where you have to give the thing what they want.  Pretty simple, or minimalistic. here’s a confusing screenshot:

    How to play

-click bottom to match above, if you go over you lose all that you have clicked in money(the guy takes the extra)

-there’s a timer and you lose money for what the guy needs(again he takes it)

-If you beat it you get the resources in money

-There’s a person that’s randomly chosen on the side. purely aesthetic.

These are graphics that were made in 5 seconds, beware them.

    HERE(always latest demo)

    Might be in.

I have some homework due at the end of the weekend and I’m away all of tomorrow. I hope to work on it tonight and tomorrow night (if i get the work done). I realize I won’t actually have any day time to work. I still look forward to other peoples games regardless.

Well (I’ve started all my posts for LD25 with Well, :P ),  I’ve finished. As I was finishing i realized there really are no levels, just the tutorial and one sandbox. I’m still happy with what I accomplished though, even though some things aren’t noticable. The Web versiion seems messed and blurs and doesn’t play sound. no idea why. So i just have the dumb Gamemaker Installer thing. Or a workshop Link. Here’s a screen and some links:

People die from burning and drowning.

    water+lava=steam

    lava+water=obsidian

The other block kin the screen isn’t actually placeable, i was just showing it off.

Well I think I’ve got the visuals down now. the web version of the game is messed up and blurs it a bit, but if you want to play it early you’ll have to suffer. It’s not to bad. Games self explanatory, kill the guy, right click to delete/click button. left to place block. Here you go: DEMO

well, I am starting late, but hopefully i’ll still be able to finish. If not I’ll enter the jam.

I Like the theme and I think i’ve also got an idea of what to do. Now, CODING!

    What Went Wrong,Right

    What Went Right

    • Got all planned features in
    • Better way(than last LD) to understand game
    • Graphics(In my opinion)

    What Went Wrong

    • Sound(forgot about it, didn’t get that ‘ca-ching! sound in’. Resulted in BFXR)
    • Music(non existent)
    • Victory/Fail(The game still played after you won and you could Win/Lose again)
    • Sleep(I slept in till 12pm(6 hours before deadline), without the graphics, menu, and help done. got it in 20 minutes before.)

Overall I have learned a lot, as I hope everybody else has to. I hope I’ll be available for the next one, and if not, I can alwasy do the Mini’s. Now, off to rating! Also check out my game HERE if you want.

I did it! My heart rate was off the charts before I submitted, 20 minutes before the deadline. My heart is still beating faster than normal now. Here’s a pic:

here’s my entry. There’s Web, Windows, and Source. It was made in Game maker HTML5.

    Again, here is the demo

I’ve seen enough development to know where this is going…

So, I made some progress. I’m going to take a break for now and mull it over. Heres a web demo for you, not much to do.

Not going so well, but still in!

After a while, for some reason, when you bought the first thing on the techtree, everything else disappeared. I have also encountered several other gamebreaking bugs. I will not quit! I’m just working on something else, sort of similar. I’ll post when I have more.

    The Tree Is Growing

I added more to the “Tree”. Next I plan to write out the rest of it, or do the sprites for it, considering how hard it is to tell what they are. Well you can’t. New demo up!

    Progress!(such a creative title)

So I have the main component basically done, although my game focuses on “Story” if you could call it that. Heres a very obscure screen shot(Don’t worry, the font and sprites will be pretty)

I’ll also have an up to date demo up every time I’m done something , or sooner.

    Second times the charm!

My second full LD. I’m surprised I didn’t come up with a blank like I expected to. This definitely wasn’t the theme I wanted, but I have an idea anyways. I’ll post progress reports, hopefully.

So I’m entering it with a resolution of 18×64. so far i’m thinking of a game that involves chopping down a tree. Although i have almost no idea where I’ll go with it.

    Done!

I finished the game. I could add more levels but my lack of good level designing prevents me. Check it out here, it’s played in the browser so you have no reason not to try it out!
