Collision detection, the bane of my existence as a game programmer.
Well, actually, what to do when a collision has been detected. But still. D:
So far I’ve got this going:
The bars on the right are supposed to be an enemy count bar and a “tower material left” bar. This is going to be a tower defense game (duh). As you might guess, I’ve been doing these simple things and avoiding the things that matter in this game (enemies, towers shooting). I NEED TO WORK
So far, you click to place a pixel. I’m thinking in the future you can make patterns with these pixels that’ll do certain things to your cursor (leveling up, etc)… not sure what that would be exactly though.
Pretty stupid so far.
Already a few hours into ludum dare, and I have no clue what I’m going to do… time to get some sleep.
I forgot to post what tools I’m using, so might as well now.
Love2D – a simplistic library for lua, and
piq.codeus.net – pixel art
Yep, not much, but at least I’ll be able to make something.
The last ludum dare, I entered into jam and didn’t post a game in the end. -_- This time, I’m determined to post something, regardless of it’s quality, lol. I’m in.
