    Tune Locks Done!

    And its done!

    Tune Locks is a game where to get to the next level, you must find the corresponding Tune the door has (brown) with the exact same Tune tile (purple), you must touch the correct Tune Tile and make it back to the door without touching another Tune Tile!

    Well while the source is uploading, I thought I should talk about my game!

    I used a awesome music creator: http://www.earslap.com/projectslab/otomata

    with audacity to convert and shrink the file size, 20mb for a 2 min song dayum, reduced that to about 4mb.

    Trusty old Paint.net to do my art.

    The levels can be changed, if you edit the 4 files named level1.png level2.png level3.png level4.png and put them back where you found them, you can create your own levels for the game, I know one guy was looking forward to some randomly generated levels, but I failed, after a few hours trying to create random islands, I failed and decided a random square island, with 4 levels.

    The music I made within a few minutes and thought it was awesome for the first few hours, now I have heard it about 10000000000000000000000 times on loop, while I live code the game, oh why did I not allow you to turn the sound off earlier!?!?!?!

    Oh! This game is the first game I have actually completed! =D win win!

    Check list:

    Menu: Check

    Levels: Check

    Graphics: might not be pro, but check!

    animation: check

    story line to back it: check

    sound: need like 1 more sound effect so :(

    All that’s left to do is add more stuff that I can before I feel like submitting it =D running out of ideas to put in the game too, always a bad thing when that happens. be sure too look at my twitter to see the game in progress!

    Well I am still here, and I have released some builds already and have said I released a newer version on twitter @PhasedTG

    Well I remember reading a post by someone saying about how a lot of programmers are bad at art when they create games by them self, and yeah I am one of them! well this time I made my title screen, and I believe it looks awesome for a profressional terrible artist =)

    I have a simple story line backing the game, but I wont release that till the final build =)

    And after a few hours trying to figure out how to create good island generation, I failed, later or tomorrow ill give another go, if not, it will probly be either loaded, or a random square world, maybe the choice of generated, or a map? =D

    Well, I have no idea what I am going to call it.

    In the first 2 hours, I have made so far is

    Early Game Update

    As you can see, the world currently is randomly generated, I am going to have to get better at random generation, make it look more awesome, then completely random, maybe? or should I keep it completely randomly generated?

    I will release current builds of the game down and again on the this link HERE it is in Java, and I have made it a web applet, but you will be able to download the game at the end.

    First Ludum Dare

    Well I’m going to do my first Ludum Dare, and probably will enter the mini LudumDare just before the main event (maybe, not 100% sure).

    I’m 17 and I am from Australia =D, don’t know if there are many Australian developers will be entering, but good luck!
    I will be using Java, and probably will not use any other libraries then the default Java ones (aka no slick2D or any of them)

    I will be using Eclipse to program in and use Paint.net to do the art.

    I Will use the sfxr for the sound.

    I will be using a Windows 7 computer, 12gb ram, 1gb graphics, 2.66ghz quad core (2 years old, still good =D) and may switch between my iMac, 3.4ghz quad core, 2gb graphics, 8gb ram

    Hoping I can get a working version done, even if its not 100% complete by the due date =D.
